Doesn't this suck big fat hairy monkey balls?

I was informed today that "due to circumstances beyond control" the company has decided to eliminate the exisiting assisant manager/supervisor position effective 12/30/05. Isn't that nice....happy new year, you're jobless.

I'm pissed, mad, upset and wondering what the fuk? Last week, our office manager left and the circumstances around it seemed a little off. The new manager is extremely well qualified, but still, why eleminate my position? Its not as though we were going bankrupt or anything. Another girl, who was hired about a month after me, but as a receptionist was also let go. This really fuking sucks. If they didn't want an assistant manager, then why hire me in the first place? Grrr.

I know I'll find something else, but shit....couldn't they have given me a little more notice or something? What a way to start the new year. Blah. Now I feel so crappy that I don't even want to do anything New Year's Eve night. This really does suck big fat hairy monkey balls, but I guess I said that already. Damn, I guess that just proves that not even management is safe in the job world these days. Blah

That does bite. That's happened to me once before and it's hard to stay positive at first, but you've got to bounce no matter what.

New Year, new job. I think the timing is perfect..you know, out with the old kind of thing...btw there is a job fair in NYC on the 12th which is about two weeks form now...if you need more info let me know.

And well, I am feeling a little better cause I got a call today and have an interview Monday, so I'm being positive and hoping all goes well. Thanks again everyone...it means a lot to me!
