While Im not married or even dating anyone at this time, I like to think of what songs I would use at my wedding...of course this is a stretch, since I might meet someone and we would use a song that is significant to us. But if I were ever to marry the guy Im crazy about, a song that would be perfect for us would be "After All" by Peter Cetera and Cher. Another song that I love would be "This I Swear" by Nick Lachey. There are a lot of beautiful songs! What was your wedding song??

My future wedding song... (hopefully!) Always & Forever by Heatwave! I've always loved the song! 🙂

Randi, I do this to. I've thought about what song I would like to dance with my man to at our commitment ceremony. One that plays through my head is a one-hit wonder from the 80's called "They Don't Know" by Tracey Ullman.

The lyrics are kinda Romeo and Juliet inspired, but I think it could fit my "special" situation too.

I've also put some thought into what song I would dance with my Mom to. I want that to be special, and I have already found one, and won't tell her what it is.

She always said to me growing up, that if she had done her job right as a parent, I would be independent, and have wings to fly out on my own, so I want our song to be R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly".

Wedding Songs?

Two of the nicest slow songs I've ever heard (and I'm NOT a ballad fan) are:

1. Marc Anthony - "Love is All" The lyrics describe the TRUEST representation of love (as I see it) that I've ever heard.

and

2. Tina Arena & Marc Anthony - "I Want to Spend my Lifetime Loving You" - This song is SOOOO filled with emotions that I get chills just hearing it. The voices dance around each other like ghosts in the night.
It was MY wedding song.

PPPEEEEAAACCCEEE!!!!!

The lyrics to songs always stick in my head, especially if they mean someting to me. The video man better have an underwater camera with him, because once my Mom hears that R. Kelly song, she's gonna start cryin', which will get me started, and then we'll both look a mess.

Michael Bolton's - I Promise. Unbelievable lyrics which I will post later. lol

Now, when we broke up and started to date again... (I thought we were moving forward) so I always thought our 2nd wedding song would be From this moment from Shania Twain.

I use to cry from happiness listening to that song because I always thought it fit us perfectly. No matter what we went through, "from this moment" we will be together always.

I have to admit, Endless Love by Lionel and Diana is MUCH better then the Luther and Mariah one. That's just me.
 
Another beautiful song is "You Make Me Feel Brand New" by Simply Red. I know this is a remake but they did a beautiful rendition of it. I have One Life to Live On and they just played it. That would make a great wedding song too!
