Okay. We've all posted our gripes about radio stations playing everything but good music (Freestyle). Well, we can all rest now. XMradio is beginning to get lots of exposure and the old, crap, zero radio stations that we need to 'give props' to when they finally play a Freestyle song will go the way of the dinosour.

As XMradio begins to take over, we'll all be choosing whichever station plays THE MOST Freestyle instead of chosing the one that plays a little. Sure, there will be commercials - just like there are now. There will be news, weather, whatever the hell you have now. But, we'll get to hear an entire genre of music without any interruptions. On WKTU, Freestyle is an occasional 'interruption'. I'm not giving any 'props' to that.

'Props' will come when I get my XMradio installed and tune into an All-Freestyle station when I'm in the mood for it. At that point (and I'm sure everyone else will meet me there as technology becomes the norm) I'll never turn on FM again.

So all your crappy sh*tbag music can go to Hell (in a happy, nice kinda way).

JAMMIN 1O5 was playing some classic stuff on friday night!!! i think KTU will toss aside thier freestyle and give it to thier sister station! thats what they did with thier disco!

yea, but XM costs a grip.... its going to be looong time before i can afford that... i was hearing that the subscription to it is around 200 a year? it won't be hott until its free... and it'll play a bunch of shiiitt when its free..

thats the story of mainstream america my friends....

JAMMIN 105 (105.1) is the other station owned by CLEAR CHANNEL. Alot of the DJ'S that arent on KTU anymore went to JAMMIN 105 (AL BANDIRO, FREDDIE COLONE). They play disco and r&b and until recently, they added some really early freestyle to their playlist.

Interesting.....
maybe they're getting the hint...
you know it maybe jammin should go ALL dance..from 70's to current..
forget the R & B, Rap..& light Crap
Look at it this way..I see how popular WCBS here in NY is to my dad..etc..they live the music of thier time growing..WHY would we be any diff. A totally Dance format radio station here in NY..would KILL.
NOT the mainstream crap... I don't consider madonna..or even J LO dance music...& a Thunderpuss remix doesn't count.

as far as XM radio goes....it's a great option for those that can afford it.
i am putting it in my house..b/c I get hardly any reception where i live...& ia m tired of the same BS....I DON'T WANNA HERE PINK & J LO 69 TIMES A DAY...!!!!!
Unfortunately...2 things are true....it's expensive so MANY will nO get XM for some time...& the other is...WILL XM have a FREESTYLE station...???????

I'm sure XM will get a Freestyle station. And I really think XM radio will become much less expensive as time goes on. It's still a new technology...

Like I mentioned in the other XM radio post..
I spoke to them. They are considering a Freestyle station.

xm sounds cool but i know that i won't pay for it yet, besides that i can't put a new stereo in my car without rewiring (not fun), unfortuneatly where i live there isn't anything worth listening to, if you listen all the time to the 80's station in town you may hear 1 frestyle song a week. on the regular stations the only time you will hear freestyle is maybe about 10-30 sec as a segway during a mix show. i have a pretty large collection of music and that is what i have to rely on, that and the internet. i'm hoping that the music pendulum will swing more towards a faster dance music (freestyle included) soon and get away from all rap.
