i was looking around for freestyle when i came across this medley track called "We are the ones". it's got a whole bunch of singers: george lamond, coro, judy torres, cynthia, joey kidd, brenda k. starr. GREAT SONG, but i never heard of it before.. can anyone give me the 411 on when this song was made, how / why they got all these artists to do a group song, and if theres any more freestyle songs like that?

I think this song came out early 1996 or late 1995. I Had seen cynthia with coro , judy torres etc perform it in a concert in june 1996 and had heard the song being played in mix shows on the daio a few months before that. Anything else i couldnt tell you.

Ktu Actually played the song alot. Broadway bill lee first broke the record on the airwaves when he was talking to George Lamond.

LEGENDS OF STYLE - "We Are The Ones" was produced by Chris Barbosa and featured Cynthia, Judy Torres, Brenda K Starr, George Lamond, Tony Moran, Coro, and Joey Kidd.

It was available in Canada on a CD called "This Is Freestyle Vol 3" (1996 - Quality Records). Unfortunately, this CD isn't available anymore, unless you can find a used copy somewhere.

Hey Tran that's where Canada's "Freestyle Allstars" got their idea for "freestyle for life"...

hey thanx 4 the info guys. its a great song.. ya "we are the ones" does have the same sorta concept as "freestyle 4 life" even though as francis says its WAY better than the canadian version

You have it the other way around...freestyle for life has the same concept as we are the ones
