if you are adding a line to your cell phone or up dating or w.e it may be... pleaseeeee make sure that they are not putting you on contract....

cingular done ****ed me over right now. i had a family plan last year and added an extra line and them **** heads made that line i added a 2 yr contract.. OMG! im so pissed... cante mamao's... i feel bad to be takin out my anger on the rep. but damn... they explained to me that all the phones were under the same contract and i can cancel them all at the same time w/o paying a de-activation fee...and now this shit... they can kiss my ass if they believe imma pay the bill...

I've heard so many horror stories, especially with Cingular and now I don't want to upgrade my phone. I was originally an AT&T customer, but with the merger I'm now under Cingular and back when the merge first happened, they screwed up my bill cause they still had 2 different billings and posted what I paid under Cingular instead of AT&T and then they came at me saying if I don't pay by such and such the service would be de-activated. I fought that though and then got a bunch of anytime minutes thrwon in. :lol But yeah, you got to be careful when dealing with phone companies. Usually I just threaten to leave, but if you're a good customer, they'll usually then do anything they can to help you so they can keep you.

this is what i do for a living..i work for verizon..dont do anything over the phone or internet EVER!!..see a representative in person...and read whatever you do sign.. you always have two weeks to cancel any agreement in that time...right now cingular/att is the worst service provider out there..they are known to pull fast ones like this...if it was a verbal over the phone agreement it may not be legaly binding..i recomend you ask a small claims lawyer for help if you wish to release your self from cingular

my husband called Nextel to upgrade his minutes. he's been with them for at least 5 years. they turn around and tell him "ok, you'll be entering into a year contract" he was like WTF? he hasn't had a contract in 4 years, he trying to give you more money and they want to force a contract on him? please. i'm looking into Verizon as we speak!

OMG!!! Cingular!!! They're affiliated with the company I'm with Roger's ATT omg ****ers I hate them!!! My phone sux the features never work...everytime I try to cancel they pull up some bogus contract I apparently signed/agreed to that I have no recollection of...and there's not much I can do cuz then I get charged $500 for breaking the contract...it's been going on for 6yrs now if and when i ever get out of the contract I'm switching to Telus/Clearnet

I have cingular and have never had a problem with them in the last 10 years. 🙂

Sorry for everyone else's problems though.

i actually went down to the store (after i calmed down). they cleared everything up for me...since there was no paper contract, they let me of the hook, i payed my last bill and said good-bye. Now im a Verizon user...😀
