So I understand at this point, most freestyle on vinyl is 10 or more years old. While it does raise concerns around warping vinyl and such, I'd still like to know where are some freestyle shops that are selling vinyl still?

Mother's Music out in Patchogue, Long Island still does and I believe you can order from them and they ship to you also.

And I hear that the Virgin megastore in NYC sells vinyl, but I'm not sure how much is freestyle.

Vinyl Mania in manhattan 60 Carmine Street 212-924-7223
sells Vinyl and has a freestyle section that sometimes has amazing hard to find titles in there

abracadabra no longer sell records...

abracadabra no longer sell records...

shit! really? that sucks! I remember one time I was going there and I was at my friend Bobby Laserra's house and he told me to mention his name when I got there (I didnt know why, really!) so when I got there, I mentioned his name and he pointed me to the freestyle 12" section and he gave me a buch freestyle records, lot of metropolitan and taz stuff.

Im gonna miss that place!

they were good they recently just stop selling records about 3 or 4 months ago, i had called them looking for an import and one of the sals reps told me this...

thats sucks. did they change thier name? I went by there last week and glanced over and they didnt have the same name. I forgot what they were called because I know they had 2 names for the store for a while, one for the record section and one for the dj equipment.

have you tried the record store on 231 (deer park ave) where abracadabra used to be? I dont know if its still run by the same person (it was owned ralphie mareno's (KTU) brother) and he had some good freestyle a few years ago.

i think it may be called i dj now...not sure if i am right butthat is the wedsite's name
