What made me keep him? I knew deep in my soul that all he needed was to see that he was a good man and that he could do the right thing if he tried. He needed to find himself and to love himself before he could love me. I let him go for 8 months.....it was sheer hell, but I did what was best for him. You know their worth keeping when they touch your soul...not your heart....we had been together for 2 years when that happened...I was pregnant and even kept that from him until he was ready to come home.....he did and all these years later I can say I love him more for the hurt he caused me because it made me grow up and become independent.....if he touches your soul......he's worth it!! Oh...we were 20 when this happened...
