How do you handle it when you find out someone has been unfaithful/cheated on you?

1. Demand to know who he/she was cheating with
2. Forgive and forget and try to repair the relationship
3. End the relationship because the hurt is too deep to repair
4. Go out and cheat too just to even the score

Personally speaking I would end the relationship. I feel if It was true from the start and you had something special, no one could break that up. And if a person cheats on you then you can never trust them again..Thats just my opinion, but some people can get past the hurt and get it back together. Thats why I have 4 poss
answers how some one may handle that. You heard how I would but I still dont know how you would.

I understand some answers may be different between men and women which is why I am curious to know how each would react under those circumstances...

all i did was yell at her and showed her how immature she was
( basically i ripped her a new hole ) and i went on my ways
till this day she wants to be friends, but i told her she blew her chance so bee cooooooo kiddie

my advice

as above, once a cheater always a cheater.

see i had a crush on a girl back in university, got all wrapped up with her. She had a boyfriend so i was a boytoy i guess. Once i noticed how she was then you'll realize that if a girl will cheat with you, then she'll cheat with someone else.

I don't really know how special you are or if you think the other person is the one. There are proper ways to end a relationships, people are just weak or too greedy, or just love people falling head over heels for them.

How's does that denine & Collage song go?

That's a scary thought! I don't think ANYONE can get over being cheated on. I knew this girl in my old job whose husband cheated on her! She said something to the effect of "I won't stoop that low to get revenge.....cha, cha, cha, cha, cha.... and we're working it out". Let me just say the last day I worked there, she took me out to lunch and..........how do I put this delicately......let me just say she changed her mind all of a sudden! She wuz kinda fine & whatnot too! Hmmmmm. well, a real gentleman doesn't talk (did I say that?) Perhaps it dawned on her, "if HE can do it, I can do it". Cheating, in my opinion is the end of a relationship. Those who do it once to a person, WILL do it again to that person.

I do believe someone can change, but with somebody else. An ex-boy/girlfriend coming back bustin' out wit' "I'll never do it again..." is full of shinto!!!!
 
I know we're supposed to forgive and forget, so that's what I would do if I got cheated on. I would FORGIVE myself for not realizing what an a*****e I had chosen to date and dating him and I would FORGET I ever knew him.

Once a cheater,
ALWAYS a cheater.

And if you forgive him or her and try and make it work, they may be sincere in trying to fix it, but in their minds they got away with murder. They treated you like shit and basically by taking them back, you have said it's okay I forgive and given them the opportunity to do it again. I would send that person on their miserable way to eek out their sludge-like existence somewhere FAR outside of mine! 😛
 
Well I know this is going to be contreversial but it just depends. Cheating for men is just a natural thing. It depends on the kind of relationship you have with your partner. I was with my ex for 2 yrs and we both cheated on each other at first I didn't want to have anything to do with him but I loved him so much that I realized by cheating on him that I didn't want to be with anyone else....I guess cheating could be a little test on your relationship...we both forgave eachother....but later we broke up not cuz of the cheating.
