Just let me add my 2 cents before everyone goes on with their selections...

Radio is about playing the hits. Especially high profile stations like KTU and Wild. Its not about playing what the hardcore fan (10 % of the listeners) wants to hear. College radio stations can do that, but not big stations like KTU. Last night at KTU I answered alot of the phones..ALL the requests were for "Dreamboy/dreamgirl", Spring Love, Louder than love, etc. We also got about 10 requests for Shaggy..lol. I know alot of you hardcore fans are gonna post 15 songs that the average fan never heard. Thats not what radio is about. You can't play 1 hour of songs most people don't know.

I know what you'll say. "Well how will people ever hear them if radio doesn't play them"...well, what I try to do on Sunday nights mixshow is play a litle bit of everything. If I play a 'rare' freestyle song, I'll follow it up with a more familiar song.

So just keep that in mind when you post your selections ;-)

I understand that 100% I work in the real bizz too, infact last week my boss was in town and he was asking me if I would like to work for Radio Promotions at one of the labels at WEA. So, who knows, maybe one day soon I will ask you to play a record that I will be working on j/k!

Thats why I posted KTU or Wild? I could have said KSJS or any other state radio. I just wanted to see how people think or Radio, It would be somewhat fun, don't you think

The song was never a hit here 2 years ago, but the label is giving it another shot and KTU is among MANY stations that are playing it now. So hold up on your ktu bashing on this one. lol

No way a lot of these songs are radio-playable these days. D, stick to your usual picks. You DJ in the Bay, so you play Bay style Freestyle. My fantasy radio station would play all dance music, with no Hip Hop and no slow R&B. An hour's worth would look something like this:

I play everything, I play stuff I love, and stuff I dislike. Yea, I play Bay Area Freestyle, hoping someone will hear it on KSJS, and request it a Wild. For what I understand, that the story with "In A Dream" and "Give Me All Your Love".

Wild 94.9 breaks Freestyle records out here on the West! So that my real goal. Some how, getting people to request a record!
