it's tuesday and i'm waiting for the cable guy to come and install my optimum voice teelphone hookup. i hate verizon so i am going with digital voice service. my telephone will be connected to my new cable modem. i get caller id, call waiting, 3 way calling, call forward and unlimited local/long distance all for $34. i bought myself a nice cordless with and a answer machine and call-id.:cheer
cant wait. i also changed my cell phone plan to a cheaper one. 😀

I am burning CDs right now I am out of work until thursday when i go back to the doctors to clear me to go back to work I got hurt on the job
 
my internet w/telephone service is up and running. all they did was give me a different modem that has a telephone jack in it.
they re-connected me and voila. only thing is that my phone has to charge. lol. i forgot about that part.

Let me know how it goes. I was thinking of doing it myself. The bad thing is I have to get a new phone number.
 
i didnt have a home phone so for me its good. but they gave me a number with a different area code. i have to get it changed but will wait til tomorrow.
 
I was looking into getting that service. I've got Verizon at my house, and I'm getting a little tired of them.

By the way, did they stick you with a 973 or 551 area code? Companies are running out of 201 so they're using 973 and 551 as extensions of 201. That's what happened to me when I got my new cell in August.
 
(973) thats why i want it changed but if you say they are running out of them i might as well stick with the number. havent used my phone yet since it has to charge overnight. lol. tomorrow i'll be on it.
 
I had to work- and I have an appt at 7.

but AIM that sounds good getting the phone thru optimum.i'mma check it out
 
found out my # is in morristown. meg i want a bayonne # gonna fght for it. lol.
 
Well good luck with that! I wanted a Bayonne # too for my phone, but my number ended up being in East Newark. Oh well. Close enough. LOL Hope ya get it. If you can't get 201, try to push then for 551. That's more of an extension for 201 than 973. I think the 551 numbers are JC.
