I don't think so LaBetty. 9/11 was the SECOND attack on the towers. Granted, it wasn't to the exteme of 9/11, but the first attack took place in 1993 and killed 6 people.

Lightning already struck twice. Why not a third time?

He is annoying. If I was a NYC politician, I'd tell him if he was intent of seeing a second set of towers, let him bankroll the project with his own money, instead of spending the city's money, or to keep his mouth shut.
 
That's a very good point Chuck...and also we keep hearing about these plots being discovered targeting other monuments, landmarks, buildings and bridges...

Because the 2nd one was so devastating, damaging, and took so many lives that they know it wouldn't be wise to do so again. Too many things occurred after 9/11 that has kept the U.S. on their P's and Q's where there isn't anything on the 9/11 site and it's very well secured and protected 24/7. So imagine when the towers get rebuild. It will always be "baby sat".
 
Plus the media gives out toooooo much information on the news. So it keeps terrorist updated on U.S. issues. (which is so stupid of the media to talk too much) They'll see on the news how secured the towers are that they'll just aim for something else that they feel the U.S. isn't paying any attention to. Like The George Washington Bridge, The Brooklyn Bridge, The Empire State Bldg, The Statue of Liberty, Public Schools, etc. There's just too much here to hit in NYC.
 
I think Trump's idea is great..he was the only one who made sense of this project and has millions to make the project work. I guess i have mixed feelings on this. On one hand I think it should be a memorial for the families that lost their loved ones but at time they crippled us New Yorkers leaving surviors with no jobs. So I think it can be a wonderful thing.
 
don't care who builds it, just build the tallest building(s) in the world on the site.... keep the bottom half(s) available for rental space & make the top half(s) a memorial monument... 🙂
