it was actually much earlier, 1984 to be exact, india was not the original singer.
 
1988 was the known India version but that was a remake........ the original came out 3 or 4 years earlier I think.......... well, Ant...... 🙂

I remember it being on the JellyBean Maxi Album. The other songs were The Mexican and Sidewalk Talk. It was the one with the cover of JellyBean in Graffetti art on a brick wall. I think it was 1985. I also think it was India who did sing the song as well. I have this Maxi Album. I shall dig it up and make sure.
 
It was at the time when india was with jellybean doing songs together. Most of the songs she did with him were remakes. "mirage" was also another remake india did. But the second remake to Dancing on the fire....i can definitely tell you was in 1988!!!
