Hello CF World. Has anyone heard if Tony Moran is still around and doing Freestyle any more, or did he retire like Safire???

TONY MORAN is doing tons of stuff still! he has his hands in all types of music including Micheal Jackson!

he most recently did a remix for Rockells latest single "TEARS" which is awsome!!

Wanting to sing? Nopes. Wanting to do music mixes for others etc? That's his love. 😉

I would die if he makes a few freestyle tunes here and there...but it ain't happenin.

Thanks for the response guys. Kenny, I'll have to look for the "TEARS" Mix that Tony did for Rockell. That's what I meant though when I asked if he was still around....meaning is he still doing FREESTYLE. I have heard some of his mixes for Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, etc, and of course they are GREAT, but I would love to see/hear him doing FREESTYLE again like Enigma said, "I'd Pass out if I heard new freestyle from him" Tony Moran & Albert Cabrera were gods in the Freestyle Industry. I'm just glad I had the opportunity to see Tony Moran perform when I was down in Palm Beach back in 95 because since then he's pretty much fallen off the face of the Freestyle Planet. 🙁 I hope he comes back some time in the near future.

Colvs, Tony is a personal friend of mine and he is doing well. His main projects now are with Gloria and Emilio Estefan. He also has a place in Miami Beach and is down there frequently. If you want to follow Tony's whereabouts you can go to www.bigmgmt.com or www.tonymoran.com I'll probably see him next month when I'm in Miami and I'll let him know that the freestyle fans have not forgotten about him. Hollllllaaaaaa😀

Thanks for the info SmoothRhythm. That is awesome to hear. Yes, please do let him know that his Freestyle Fans have not and WILL NOT ever forget him. I understand that he's really busy with huge projects now, but hopefully some day he'll come back with some New Freestyle. Hell, even if he does a concert with all the old school freestyle jams he has, that would be FANTASTIC.
Thanks again for responding to my message.

Steve as much as we all love freestyle; it aint payin the bills nor is it putting food on the table. It's not likely that you see tony doing freestyle but you never know. With Tony's talent he was able to crossover to various musical mainstreams and do well. Fresstyle was great back in the day and we still listen to the old school jams, but it will never be the way it was back in the day. Time has changed and so has the music. Hollllllaaaaaa

Sietz I'll let him know. Lemme find out you video taped that session.:blah

I hear ya SmoothRhythm and agree with you on that. I am definitely partial to the OLD SCHOOL Freestyle, but still enjoy the NEW SCHOOL Freestyle that is being produced and played. In my eyes/heart Freestyle will never die. Well, the way I look at it...no matter what happens to Freestyle in the Music Industry at least we all still have the Great Freestyle Music that has been produced/played and still being played from the 80's til Present to listen to and enjoy 🙂

If/when you see or talk to Tony, please send him a big shout out from one of his biggest fans...(ME) He's still the king of freestyle to me no matter what type of music he's producing.😀
