after many years of great music, TOMMY BOY records are finally closing it's doors. i just heard their last day is next week. i can't believe one of my favorite lables will be ending it's course. i'm deeply saddend by it. i will most def miss the tommy logo with the 3 breakers...

well here's the deal....Tommy Boy lost their deal with WARNER BROS. whome manufactered abd distributed all their music. i guess they decided not to stay independant til they found a new deal. o well.....as for TKA hmmmm hopefully TY BLESS can answer that for us!!!

warner bros doens not OWN tommy boy.....warner bros. is in charge of manufacturing and distribution....which basically they get most of the $$$$.....but anyways Warner Bros. bought STRICTLY RHYTHM on another note....anyways Tommy Boy was a good label....

First off, Tommy Boy wasn't just bought by Warner Bro, It's has been owned By Time Warner Music Group for many, amny years. I use to work for a Time Warner comp, called WEA, Warner / Elektra / Atlantic.

What has happened here is this, AOL and Time Warner have become one, with AOL running the new comp. This took place in late march, this is when I got layed off.

Now, BMG bought 50% of Warner Brothers, so this even makes a NEWER comp.

But, Tommy Boy has been a Time Warner company for about 10 years now.
