i just came upon this post. FOR YOUR INFO: i'm a educated white women on WELFARE. i go to college full time. my major is computer science. i receive full grants..thanks to WELFARE. the only reason i'm on WELFARE is because i lost my job and my unemploymnet benefits ended. i have a heart condition and was hospitalized in nov. my friend is a case worker at WELFARE and suggested i apply. i now have full medical coverage and i also receive rental assistance. I do not recieve FOOD STAMPS because i'm not eligible since i'm a college student. in order to receive WELFARE you are REQUIRED to do WORK STUDY(job training) 20 hrs. per week. WELFARE is sending me to get additional training during the day. i will be enrolled in a medical billing class that starts on april 1. so i am a WELFARE recipient who is being educated day and night!! not all WELFARE recipients are low lifes. we are MOTHERS, FAMILY MEMBERS,STUDENTS,PROFESSIONALS,
EDUCATED,LOVING,FAITHFUL,CLASSY,UPSTANDING, MORAL,& extraORDINARY PEOPLE JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!! so yes i take my hand out of $140.00 per month w/PRIDE!!

i'll be returning to the work force in the near future.. might even land your job. na, better yet i'll stand on the line for the free cheese. :blah
