There is this new girl that I am working with, she is only 14 with a voice like Christina Aguilera. Anyhow, her name is LYNETT and she just finished recording her debut single and is looking to get remixes done for the CD. This will be an Indie release in a small quantity, mainly to sell on her website, but the CD will also be used to shop her around to Major labels. Her song is called "I NEED YOU TO KNOW", It is a fun R&B / Pop Song with a Latin Twist.
You can listen to it at www.MySpace.com/LYNETT Radio Edit is the original version and the other is just her voice over a drum.

She recorded this song in Boston, MA at AEROSMITHS studio so I have to go and get the actual ACAPELLA as I know this is something most of you will need to make the remix. We are looking for Urban Mixes (Add on to the beat of track 2) and also Freestyle / Trance / Club Mixes.

Of course this would be great for both the artist & the remixer.
Remixer of course getting credit for the remix and included on the Press Release and Liner notes of the CD which will be read by alot of industry insiders as I mentioned, this CD will be shopped for a Major label deal.
So remixers, feel free to include your website / email address with remix submission to include with your remix. This info will also be included on her Official website at www.LYNETT-Online.com

There is a deadline, All submissions must be sent in via CDR or MP3 by APRIL 15th.

If interested, send email to: Remix@Lynett-Online.com

The song is NOT available as a download, so it would have to be sent to you via AIM (AOL Instant Messanger). It will also soon be listed on SoundClick.com for downloading purposes soon.

So, If interested, email: Remix@Lynett-Online.com

...and Randy, I hope you like whatchu hear when ya visit my profile too!

just took a quick listen .. she has a really really good voice 😉 .. the structure was pretty good too .. im gonna take a few more listens tho and see if it keeps grabbin me 😉 ..

^^ it "grabs" me more & more each time i listen to it. great singing from lynett 😀

Don't Waste your time

They are not willing to Pay a dime for remixes nor royalties...Something smells fishy with this guys intent... (Producers/Remixes--Beware)

^^ im honestly gonna hope this isnt a scam.. come on if you think about it, why would they ever mention something like "remixers will get paid $---.-- for their work"? then all they'll get is shoddy remixes from people who just want money

I contacted them inquiring about this, I wouldn't drop a post like this without reason. The remixer will only get a credit. If credit is what your seeking while someone puts the money in there own pocket......Then Knock yourself out......

This opportunity is for those who are looking to start or build on to their resume of remix production. yes, mainly for "Credit". CD liner notes, press release, website, etc. There was never a mention about "Royalties Paid". Unless you were Junior vasquez or Tony Moran with an extended resume then that might be considered, but this opportunity is for new comers in the field who are looking to establish a resume. Alot of people start like this. You should look more into it if you have any doubts. Ask Chris Cox (of Thunderpuss) if he got paid for his first remix session!

I have a pretty solid resume 🙂 (Rockell, Lina Santiago, Ginuwine, Emilio Estefan, Jossette, Stevie B, Lisette Melendez, MSM, Pink, Amanda Perez, Ryan Duarte, etc etc etc )

but youre mainly lookin for newcomers right ??

ya i suppose this is for newcomers.. if u think about it most "established" producers would go on to much bigger projects as opposed to a breakout artist like lynett. and besides i guess i dont care if i dont get paid if i win the competition, its not like im staying up till 4am working on this remix it's more fun than work for me right now

digital track .. point made loud and clear !!

yea vinss.. the thing that interests me is her vocals , she has alot of versatility .. but like digital said .. what if we do somethin and it goes on and becomes a hit or somethin .. i guess we would just get credit ... hmmm lol

Work is Work and a remix is a remix, It says in his post he is going to shop this to a Major Label. A major label deal means major money, and if her manager is not willing to pay points when a deal is made, means this guy is like the many in the industry that look to rob others of their hard work. For those of us who make a living in this industry, we try to avoid people like this who display drops like MAJOR Label shops and no Points on the project. Those submiting Demos for free, and for no points are contributing to the destruction of the professional world of music production.
What your not undrstanding here is that this guy is going to be Submiting to labels, He talks of big named remixes like that really matters, GOOD music is Good Music, it doesn't matter if a 10 yr old produces it, If the Label likes what they hear they will pick it up. If the song Hits, He is rich, and you are PISSED!
For the Record I know Chris Cox & Tony very well, Both good friend of Gioia and YES they have gotten paid for every release they have ever done. I am working with Many artists from well know to unknown and we plan to pay points or cash for every remix done.
I too am like Randy with a list of artists that run a mile long, LIL Suzy, Gioia Bruno, Kim Sozzi, Aubrey, Denine, KID ROCK... not to mention Countless involvment with so many others.... So i guess I don't know what Im talking about....
