wow thanks for keeping it real k7.I respect your opinion and poeple and producers all wanted me to do freestyle and i did at one time but i found my place to be in the r&b seen and i hope that others that wanted me to do freestyle don't think of me as a sellout.I love freestyle but i just will stay with my r&b i'm glad you kept it real k7 god bless you pa

My two cents.....

Kayel and Tony:

Opinions are like Azzholes. Everyone has them. It is unfortunate that you guys have run into more than your fair share of the azzholes.

I have been a freestyle fan when it was called "Latin Hip-Hop" and a TKA fan since "One Way Love". I always stayed away from threads that talked about you, because they always seemed to turn into flame wars and drama, and I try to avoid that situation.

I have been to many of your shows. I remember the energy and joy I would feel coming from you all from the stage. It saddens me that the joy for you is no longer there, and that you feel you are in a "bad place" (my words) regarding TKA, and that your heart isn't in it anymore. I can think of nothing more frustrating than to be in a situation where you feel forced to satisfy the needs of others before yourself, sacrificing your happiness, feeling resentment.

I want to wish you luck and much success in whatever you do. I also wish that you find the level of happiness that you had when you first formed TKA. No matter how much success you find, it's the happiness that matters, because without that, everything else can be unbearable.

I will be the first to admit that I will miss TKA terribly. No matter what direction freestyle takes, it will always be in my heart. Names like Willie Valentin, TKA, Sweet Sensation, Nyasia, Safire, Cover Girls, George Lamond, Stevie B., Lil' Suzy (and the list goes on and on) will always be with me, and make me happy whenever I hear their music, whatever style it is.

Please remember this: You have had success that some people wish for. Many try for what you had (and will have in the future) and never accomplish this. Many fans will continue to listen to "Scars Of Love", "Louder Than Love", "Greatest Hits", and "Forever". Because of this legacy, you will never "die in obscurity". You will forever be remembered by both freestyle fans, and TKA fans.

Sounds like in your life, you've reached a fork in the road. Choose your path with confidence, and no regrets!
