LAST NIGHT, THE "MUCH ANTICIPATED PERFORMANCE" OF
TonyO, K7, & GL, BETTER KNOWN AS TKA or TKG,
IN CHICAGO WAS MORE THAN OVERWHELMING! THE
FELLAS TORE IT UP, DOING (TWO SHOWS) IN ONE NIGHT!
THEY WERE SO ENERGIZED WITH THE SOLD OUT
CROWD, WHO WAS SO IN DISBELIEF WITH EXCITEMENT
TO SEE THE (THREE) ON STAGE TOGETHER, FOR THE
FIRST TIME, HERE IN CHICAGO! SEEING THE GROUP
COMPLETE WITH TONY, KAY, GEORGE WAS SURREAL!
WATCHING ALL THREE, INCLUDING GEORGE LaMOND,
SINGING TKA SONGS WAS INCREDIBLE! THEY WERE SO
PASSIONATE AND DEEP INTO THEIR PERFORMANCE IT
WAS MAGICAL! SURELY A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!

FOR YEARS, B96(96.3FM/CHICAGO)BACKED OFF BY
PLAYING ANY FREESTYLE MUSIC PERIOD, OR ANY
ARTIST OF SUCH. BUT IN RECENT MONTHS, B96
DUG UP INTO THEIR FREESTYLE VAULT AND BEGAN
TO PLAY BITS & PIECES OF SONGS, AS TO "FLASHBACK"
INTO THAT ERA. THE OVERWHELMING RESPONSE FROM
THE CHICAGO FANS TO BRING THIS MUSIC BACK FOR
GOOD, WAS THE KEY TO UNLOCK THE DOOR. DUE TO
THIS, B96, THOUGHT UP TO DO A ONE-TIME PARTY
WITH THE MOST POPULAR ARTISTS OF THIS MUSIC.
WELL, LITTLE DID THEY KNOW, THAT HEADLINING THIS
PARTY WITH TKA, K7, & GEORGE LaMOND WOULD BREAK
RECORDS AND MAKE HISTORY!

IT WAS REPORTED BY B96, THAT THEY BROKE THE
CHARTS BY SELLING OUT FASTER THAN THE POPULAR
ALICIA KEYS! DUE TO THIS OVERWHELMING RESPONSE
FOR TICKETS WHICH YOU COULD ORIGINALLY ONLY WIN,
THE RADIO STATION WAS FORCED TO SELL TICKETS FOR
A SECOND SHOW!

THE OUTRAGEOUS TURNOUT OF THE FANS, TO THESE
TWO TKG SHOWS HAS OBLIGED B96, TO HAVE NOT
THIS ONE, BUT MORE OF THESE "FLASHBACK" &
NY "BEATSTOCK" TYPE SHOWS IN THE FUTURE, WITH
SO MANY MORE ARTISTS, INCLUDING A REPEAT OF LAST
NIGHT WITH TKG,K7,GL! WITH THAT SAID, BIG PROPS
TO THE FELLAS FOR ~Making History in Chicago~
 
It is good to see Chicago bringing back Freestyle. Hopefully we will get the Freestyle shows that go on in the East Coast to Chicago. Hopefully alot more Freestyle artists will take notice of this recent event and want to come and perform for their fans here in Chicago. Unfortunately I missed this event since I had to be out of town. I hope to catch these guys the second time around if they come back....my guess, they will🙂
 
YOU KNOW IT HEIDEE!! IT WAS A GREAT SHOW INDEED!! THEY THREW DOWN TO THE 3RD POWER!! great show, energetic perfomance you could really feel how excited they were to be doing it together for the very first time here and they looked like lil kidz all over again...

i said it before and im saying it again,,, im telling you guys, ive got a real good feeling bout this TKG thing baby!!!!
 
The guyz definatey had a lot of VIBE that night, as I'm sure they
will from now on..Although, they did not get to bring their dancers
or a band, they really wanted to, but regardless, they had such
GREAT SHOWS. The first, was magical, cuz it was the first Kay said,
the second was magical but wilder! The crowd was so feeling the guyz
& vice versa! When the 2nd one ended, the guyz so did not want to
leave that stage! As we walked off, I stopped George, and told him
to listen, the crowd was chanting "OTRA, OTRA" meaning,
"ONE MORE, ONE MORE"! He was touched!
Although, I personally insisted they should do something new, they
did not, due to the fact that the album is not finalized, to
determine the songs that will make the final cut on the album, and
due that, they were still literrally, in the studio here in chicago,
still doing vocals, they feel that the material should be heard when
the album is out! I'm believe, they may release a single online,
close to the release date, so be patient!

MARIO...It was nice meeting you & Yoli! I'm glad I remembered to
bring the pic, when she asked me, I panicked, thought I forgot, but
I had it! Your pics w/da fellas should come out really nice, hope ya
post them! ps.your right, seeing them perform together, was like a
first!

Well, this weekend was pretty hectic for me, got no sleep but
had alot of fun as usual! These guyz are like the energizer bunny...
lol @george...who never shuts up!! lol j/k g!
 
It was oofff the hook!!

YES I was there to witness this amazing show~! It was sooo overwhelming to see them perform..I was in the very front off the stage and I would not stop letting go off GL, Tony or Kay 's hand when they would come to shake it LOL!! I took many,many pictures of them I will post up on Monday morning!! ATTN CHICAGO: FREESTYLE IS BACK and WILL STAY if we keep supporting!
Heidde- I wish I would've been able to meet you..I would not leave the front stage since the minute I got there! IT WAS ALOT OF FUN and I can't wait til the next one..😀

was you reaching out..glad you had fun! the only
thing i thought was a problem for them to be closer
to the crowd was those bar tops...George kept walking
thru...he got scared cuz he said he felt it cracking!
duh..it's for the drinks not him to jump on!lol!
but i'm glad u got to reach them! Ohh, sorry we didn't
meet? Tony actually had me sit right at the tip of
the stage next to the speaker for our pics, so i was
actually pretty much hidden!
Oh, and to answer someones question, yeah..g can talk
alot, he can go a bit crazy if impatient! Inside story,
the dressing room had party supplies, and so g decided
to blow some balloons up, he even drew Me on one, and
he even found hair for it, and signed his name all over
another! lol! too funny! I say he wouldn't shut up
cuz, we made him take a nap on the couch, Tony threw
a coat all over him, but he kept sneaking out from the
side to talk to me, cuz i was sitting nxt to him, so he
never fell asleep.
 
See what happens when hope is not lost!! This sends Freestyle into a high standard now!! It shows with B96 playing it again, there are still lots of Freestyle fans outhere and a chance to recruit some new ones!!
 
I was right by the speakers too, everybody kept smooshing me cuz i was right in front of them, where by they came in..I was next to 2 drunk girls ( opps that was my sister and her girl )my drunk sister kept pulling GL pants LOL..I think that was the real reason he was getting scared...tehehehe!that show was the Sh**!I can't wait for the next one 🙂
 
I READ YOU SAW TKG IM JEALOUS..I LIVE IN NEW YORK AND IM WAITING FOR THEM TO DO A PREFROMANCE TOGETHER OVER HERE. I CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR THERE SOUNDS I KNOW IT WILL BE AWESOME. IF THEY READ THIS COME TO PEARL IN WHITE PLAINS BOYS...GIVE MY LOVE TO TONY....MANDY

these artists started, and that will always be
on their resame!

I'm glad it was all worth it! Yeah, the crowd was
crazy, maybe g was scared of you wild girlz! yeah right!
He loved it! They all did!

babshd124....don't be jealous! There will be more
shows in ny you can attend! Trust me, i have to fly
to ny to see the majority of shows!

There is definately a different vibe in their performance,
and surely will be even more so, with the new material due
out, hopefully in March.😉
 
It was a GREAT show! It was great to see respect given to music that helped define a whole generation of Latinos. Many people dont understand what this music means to many of us. Its not just the music itself but the fact that it helped give many Latinos our own identity. You know Im Mexicano to the core and Im all about the my culture and music from Mexico and I will ALWAYS claim! But freestyle gives many US born Latinos who where brought up in an urban environment something that is uniquely ours because we can relate to it. I hope to see many more shows and more new music. Fresstyle Forever!
 
I'm glad that B96 is making an attempt...but we do have to remember those who didn't abandon Freestyle at all for the past few years...if the major stations had stuck it out, who knows how big things could have become...
 
Yup, but B96 is now bragging about an occasional flashback track when they never really were on board to begin with. So they bring the boys in and make some money as a "nostalgia" act...I know it's better than nothing, but...
