Lol Elear, I know more or less what kind of freestyle music you like and can tell you right now that you will not like this cd. It's gonna be too off course for you. I'm not trying to convince you not to buy it but im telling you straight up so that you wont be surprised.

IM SORRY THAT YOU DONT LIKE THE ALBUM.BUT AS K7 SAID THIS IS NOT THE 86-92 ERA IT IS 2001 AND IT IS TIME TO MOVE ON.THERE ARE SLOW SONGS ON THE ALBUM BUT THAT IS ONLY TO SHOW YOU THAT THERE IS MORE TO TKA THAN JUST DANCABLE MUSIC.AT FIRST I WAS EVEN EXPECTING ANOTHER SCARS OF LOVE,TEARS MAY FALL OR MARIA BUT WE ALL KNOW THAT CAN NEVER HAPPEN. THERE ARE TWO SONGS ON THE ALBUM THAT HAS THAT OLD SCHOOL STYLE AND THEY ARE WHEN WILL I C U(OLD/NEW SCHOOL)AND IN A MANNER.THE LATTER REMINDS ME OF ANOTHER OLD SCHOOL TKA SONG AND THAT IS LOUDER THAN LOVE. WE ALL HAVE WAITED A LITTLE OVER A DECADE FOR THIS RETURN AND THIS PAST TUESDAY IT FINALLY HAPPENED.TKA IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER
 
So is this CD full of a bunch of R&B tunes? Is it like the teenybopper music that is out there now? If I buy this CD can I expect dance in the vain of "Feel the music" (House music of course) or is that the only dance track. No, I don't consider R&B dance so please don't consider it dance if it is R&B. I am in doubt no on whether to buy this CD.
 
Tybless said they do "music that comes from the heart". That's a lie. I'm not one of those 15 year old kids that'll believe anything someone says. I think TKA is a grand example of SELL OUT. They just wanna get paid. R&B is for them lame new skool cats.
 
Look I don't feel this cd to much YET key word yet...I just bought it today and the more i listen to it i know i will love it...My fav song is the one that we all have heard millions of time "when will i see you" I like the new beat they put...it have a new flava to it. Love COnquers all is a beautiful song...some songs do have that marc anthony sound to it, which it will make the cd rise.... well that my 2 cents!!!!

for the record I love TKA...they ARE the KINGS of freestyle. Call me nostalgic BUT that was what I was looking for. Something that was gonna take ME & my friends back to the days of ACT III, the Coliseum, Marty & Lenny's... I didn't return the album b/c it wasn't "good"..I returned it b/c it wasn't what I wanted. Thats NOT to say that the music they put out..from thier hearts isn't good. There was def. some cool tracks BUT it wasn't freestyle!
I think it would have been nice to get a blend of BOTH. Even a couple of songs.
To TKA...good luck in ALL you do. you're music will ALWAYS take me to a special time & place in my life like no group can. You guys are the best & I WILL be out in Lodi the night before Thanksgiving to see you guys do it on stage..

This Confusion About TKA & Their New CD

This all seems so simple to me. I just can't understand the confusion here. Ok!! If any track on their CD sounds like freestyle to you...then it's freestyle to you, and thats's all that matter's!! If it sounds like R&B to you, then it's R&B, and that's all it matter's!!!

A freestyle listener can tell the difference. The same goes with an R&B listener. In "MY" opinion, if it has a little of both in the mix, I am a happy camper. Even more so if they cut a mix with DMX, JaRule and Snoop. 😀


R&B and Rap have interchanged to create a whole new sound and vibe. Why can't we do this with freestyle. it's all about growth, awareness(which in my opinion, freestyle needs a whole lot of). Supporting our genres' artist's and producer's is very important.


Ah... let's stop the playa hating!! Can't you see we freestyle fan's can't afford to be critical if we truly claim to love this genre. It's all about growth and support! When freestyle start's blowing up in the chart's, only then can we demand more from our artist's and producer's as consumer's and fan's. We do not have that luxury. So let's stop the negativety.

much2fresh ..change that to much 2negative..who made you the prime minister of freestyle? the album is phat period..go do your homework better yet go make a song that us freestylers can appreciate if you cant do either then put yourself into MUTE mode.

You say you're from my neighborhood. If you truly are from Spanish Harlem, how could you not know that we emulated exactly what we hear in those streets every single day? You obviously are not in touch with the vibe that is Spanish Harlem. If you did you would know that we didn't even come close to selling out.

You were not there. So you couldn't possibly know what went into making this album. To be honest, we would have been selling out if we didn't do what our heart's wanted to do and stayed with the simple formula that made us successful in the past. That's selling out. We took a chance, and it's to be determined weather or not this chance will be recieved. The glory in doing what's in your heart is..that if it's not well recieved, so what! We know we did it our way and that's really the whole point with this album. Now and Forever it will always be done OUR WAY!
