also... maybe i can say this now... club drink in staten island ALSO does VERY VERY poorly on freestyle nights. the club is gorgeous and the service is outstanding. hello? they have very easy parking... provide cabs home to anywhere in staten or jersey? what's better than that?

but no one supports them when they book freestyle acts. a shame

NOT TO LONG AGO I PUT A THREAD SHOUTING OUT THE ARTIST AS WELL AS THE FANS THAT SHOW SUPPORT. IN THAT HTREAD I SOPKE ABOUT THE FACT THAT PEOPLE WANT O SEE THE ARTIST DOING SHOWS YET THEY DO NOT COME OUT TO ANY OF THE EVNETS I FOR ONE TRY AND MAKE TO AS MANY SHOWS AS I CAN THEREHAVE BEEN ARTIST THAT IHAVE SEE OVER AND OVER AND YET I AS WELL AS A LOT OF OTHERS I KNOW STILL GO OUT TO THE SHOWS WITHOUT OUR SUPPORT HOW DO WE EXPECT TO KEEP FREESTYLE GOING ANGEL HAS MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR US TO COME OUT AN DSHOW SUPPORT AND YET MANY DONT IF YOU CANT MAKE IT SPREAD THE WORDS TO FRIENDS AS I DID LAST NIGHT ABOUT GOING TO SHOWS. I AM DISSAPPOINTED TO HEAR THE SHOW WAS CANCELED BUT I KNOW HO WHARD ANGEL IS TRYING TO MAKE SHIT HAPPEN FOR THE FANS 🙁
 
we all have to pull together and help the artists and the clubs by attending these shows. its the least we can to do to help keep freestyle alivE!
 
I understand but Im still sad 🙁 I was gonna go this Friday, I was so happy about going but now Im not :crap Ill still be there for the big show in May 😛
 
well even if the show is cancelled...i still wanna go...i love bliss and i like all the good things that angel and alex have been doin to support freestyle...this is only a minor setback to what i think is a freestyle comeback in effect....

it is a business and people do need to make money so i understand where that is coming from...we cannot deny that times are rough...

but music is my passion and i am willing to do watever it takes...im gonna support freestlye.its artists and its venues

lets hope REAL fans do the same!

see we have made so much noise that we are starting to be herd. And if we dont unite as one this time we will lose our music for good. make some noise and show your love for freestyle. Support, go to the concerts, and request and spread the word about freestyle in your area.

Well here's a suggestion,

Even if there isn't an act on this Friday. People should still be there to support the music. Angel needs heads in the club to show owners the support he gets. We can still support the MUSIC by showing up and dancing to it. I know alot of Cf'ers who are in the area who can be there this Friday. It will make a great point for the Bigger Show May 26. Cause if we don't support a night now, there might not be a show period. SO, with that said, I'll be at Blis this Friday regardless if TKA is there or not. Am I going alone, or are any of you joining me for a night of fun & Freestyle?

I agree with you guys I will be at Blis this Friday to support freestyle and I will for sure be there on May 26, 2002. I have not seen Lisa Lisa perform in so long I cant wait to see her. I have to agree Nyasia, clubgirl, and all of you. I bet we could make this happen.

Nasia thank you so much...we need more new acts, I have try to be a part of every show that can come through, not only to re establish myself in this business, but to promote my album. So that the fan knows there more new acts out there. Nick Colon, Ashley, Nu Image, and a bunch of us are doing all we can, but alot of the promoters won't help us, because we are not known (To them) nor our music is not on the radio (Not Main stream Radio). Artists like Nyasia, TKA, Soave, Nelson FFWD, Legit FFWD, Cynthia, Johnny O., and also DJ's Johny Budz.....has gave us an opportunity to be part of their show and has excepted us. But we need more then the artists itself, we need fans, and we need promoters to get out of the past and see new faces.
There's a bunch of new albums coming out from new acts this year, and alot of the old acts are doing new things, lets support each and every one of them and lets help our industry.

I hope To be on the road again along with new and old acts Chicago, Florida, Philly, California and many other places and lets stop with the bashing and start helping our music..1 love:hearton
 
I have been to Blis on a few different Latin Friday's & the one with the Salsa performer was a little packed & the ones without were empty. I don't think may people are that aware of the place. I think a good show for Blis to do would be a latin/freestyle night. That might get more people there. Have a Salsa performer & a fresstyle performer, that would get people of two genre's to go & would actually put more people in the club. I love that club, it's a good price to get in & they make the drinks nice & strong at good prices, so I will continue to go whether or not there is a performer. My friend might think otherwise because his car was broken into parked around the block from the club.

Isn't Cynthia, Judy Torres & Coro going to be at Remy Lounge on Friday night?

I want more details about this show on May 28th.
