Anyone ever see a movie called "SALSA"? Well I was thinking of something... They should have a movie that is based on singers TRYING to make it into the music bizzness. The times should be in the 80-90s period & The music would be FREESTYLE music.. And they should have "ALL" the singers & groups that we know & love. And have a club that is ONLY Freestyle music there...and has a stage for ppl to perform on...( For ppl to perform in front of a LIVE crowd.. Sorta like make it..or break it kinda deal...I think ya know what I mean ) Or they can use actors who can pretend to be FREESTYLE musicians. And of course..make it like a Love Story (Most Freestyle songs are that anyways..right?)I'll say this...I would pay to see a movie like that. What do you guys think??

Papo, maybe you should start writng a story line and get people together to act it out, like a play, and maybe make it into a video, who knows where it can take off from there. Ideas like those should always be pursued.
 
That is a great idea Papo & I definetley agree with Naya. You should try to write up a script for it & see where it goes. It's too good of an idea to go unnoticed!!!! :biggrin
 
You know....I just may do that, Hell..why not. It could go far....maybe not. I'll never know unless SOMEONE does something,right? And If I was to film this...I know a few clubs to do it at..And I know the owners too, But that's if I can even get it that far w/ this. I gotta think of paying the cast to do there part..As well as other stuff..etc. I'm still gonna wrok on a script on this, And maybe you guys can giv me pointers & your input on your ideas that would make things more intresting. Oh my God...I'm actually excited about this now..Damn. See ya later..

or you could write the script and shop to some few indy movie labels for starters and if they like it they will pick up the costs for productions and things like that😉 definiely look into it. Good Luck.
 
I think that would be dope if an independent producer picked up the idea. I think it could happen, and I would go see it fo sheezy! But they should do the actual story of freestyle and the big artists. From the rise to the fall, it's an interesting story no doubt. There's a lot of controversial issues that surround that story. Maybe even get some of the artists portrayed to do small interviews that can be shown throughout the film.
