I did like the lyrics to the joey gold song...i just woulda preferred someone else singin it sooo...thumbs down!

TKA rule they made more great freestyle music then any group in history!TKA are the greatest freestyle music group in history!Joey Gold devil in my heart is pure trash no body bought it because, the beats were wack, the lyrics were gay,the vocal were fatal and it was pure crap. TKA sold over million units of their greatest hits album worldwide including over 500,000 copies a gold reord here in America!Soave crying over you was one the greatest Freestyle music songs in history it's stilled played and haevly requested in Latin America and the Caribbean night clubs aswell as still is a classic songs that deejays play at clubs here in America even clubs that don't play freestyle.I heard this song at 2 am at a club in Alabama in 1996 and at another in Ohio just last year eventhough it's been 10 years since "Crying Over You" was released. You are dead wrong the stuff you say is bad is great Freestyle, the classic Freestyle that made Freestyle popular and took them to the top,the kind of cheese Freestyle you say is good sounds horrible, never sold and brought freestyle down to the gutter.Thats why legends like TKA and Soave still headline music concerts all over the world and around the nation while Joey Gold's days in the music industry are thankfully over.LAW could not get any support because the people did not like the,TKA had 3 hit songs in less then a year after they came ou,LAW hadthree songs that even failed in Freestyle and never made the pop charts like TKA who had top 40 hits on BILLBOARD magazine, their albums were in the top 200 and their songs no#1 on the national dance music charts.TKA have been on played on MTV,VH1,BET,MTV LATINO & TELEMUNDO!K7 Come Baby Come was a top 20 hit and his album sold a 500,000 copies went Gold in America, went no#1 in Latin America and Europe,he toured with JON SECADA,R.KELLY,SALT N PEPA,PROYECTO UNO AND BARRIO BOYZZ!K7 was no#1 on MTV Jams aswell as the Box.Law LOL!K7 did 2 Freestyle songs and appeared on a sucessful compilations and got major club play.Law never had any hits.GOD Bless,Omar 🙂

Well...

Hmmm.. Didn't Marilyn Manson sell millions and millions records in your country? Well, just because one group sells alot of records and another group doesn't It doesn't mean SH*T!

Ace Of Bace sold alot of Records, Miguel Reyes Didn't.
Limp Bizkit sells alot of Records, Synthia Figueroa Doesn't.

This just proves that flies are attracted to shit. And if you call yourself a Freestylefan how can you dis LAW?!?! Man if you haven't heard their songs I suggest you download them on Napster or somethin. Vocally TKA is not even near them.
Right now I'm listenin to Miguel Reyes, It comes to my mind what a great Artist and Singer he is. Did he sell alot of Records??? Did he appear on MTV, VH1 or any of them Bullsh*t channels? Nope, he still got Great songs...
The reason why LAW didn't get the attention they've deserved was because they came out when Freestyle was "dead". How the hell can you compare K7 to them??? So what if they toured with R Kelly or Jon Secada, I DON'T GIVE A DAMN. When you say "LAW never had any hits" you're correct if you mean radioplay, selling etc. But oh what great songs they had.. I would listen to the great underground Freestyle anyday instead of Stevie B, TKA, LisaLisa or whatever, just like Rhoq said in another topic (quote)

"JUST BECAUSE A SONG NEVER REACHED RADIO DOES NOT MEANT IT IS ANY LESS SIGNIFICANT!!!
Many of the hard-to-find rarites requested by my peers are the heart & soul of Freestyle music. I would rather listen to "WHY DID YOU DO ME WRONG" by Inferno or "YOUR LOVE IS ON THE RUN" by By Dezyn than "BAD OF THE HEART" by Loose Touch/George LaMond or "TEMPTATION: by Corina...ANYDAY!!!" .

Proyecto, it sounds like you're only into the commercial Freestyle. I just looked at your "Alltime Greatest Playlist".. Lisette Melendez, Expose TKA, Cynthia, Giggles, Lil Suzy, George LaMond.. Don't get me wrong I love some of these artists songs too, but there's so much more great Freestyle that never got the recognition these artists got.

I hope I proved my point..

This is a song that only a hardcore Freestyle fan can appreciate...Just for the record - I bought it!!! It happens to be a favorite of mine (especially the Dub Mix).

If you were to really sit down and listen to the song you will realize a few things:

1. Joey Gold (a/k/a J.T. Irish) was a decent producer and songwriter.

2. The song contains everything that Freestyle was meant to (classic driving beats and heavy synth melody, orchestra hits, edits, a guy who doesn't have a great voice but can a carry a tune and a female background vocalist *Cherée* who provides a stronger vocal than her male lead).

3. It was made with the hardcore Freestyle fan in mind (Joey Gold didn't care about making a radio friendly song, he had been doing that with all of his productions for April, Sebastian, Cherée and Laissez Faire - when it came time for him to release a song of his own as an artist, he let his true self emerge. The result was a energetic, raw, in-your-face masterpiece that only the die hard fans of Freestyle could understand)...

I usually keep biased to my opinions...but i'm suprised nobody mentioned "Tear Shed" by MKG. I know the song was extrememly popular, and I still play it to this day because of its history, but her vocals are so off key, its not even funny...lol

In 1989 MKG released "TEAR SHED" with vocals by Emery...

In 1993, Adam Marano remade it with Denine doing the vocals...

I think I posted this somewhere before ... but, speakin of BAD vocals .. NOTHING was worse than Stefanie Bennett's remake of the Denise Lopez classic "Too Much Too Late" ...

She absolotely BUTCHERED the song .. talk about OFF KEY ! lol !!!

I remember hurlin' out the car door the first time I heard it !!

"Funky little beat" from Connie in the 80's <BORING>
in the 90s, "I can't understand-Kenny C" <YUCK!!!!!!>
I have no idea why these songs appear over and over on comps. I think that some of the songs off of Luna Freestyle vol. 3 were pretty bad, poor vocals and production
In the new millineum the worst song is....so far I like them all from what I have heard.

emery vocals do suck.....but the song is still one of my favs...its a classic.....and some of the songs listed are songs that only hardcore freestyle fans can appreciate......devil in my heart thats one of the best...but u know what everybody has their own opinion....

Slip Slam Bam

The song "Slip Slam Bam" by Just Say Yo is the biggest piece of CRAP I've every heard on any freestyle CD. It's on one of the Metropolitan compilations. This crap is more hip-hop than freestyle. Even for a hip-hop song it sucks. Who is the stupid ass that put that song on the compilation??? Most of the other songs on that CD are really good. Whoever chose to put that song on the compilation needs to be banned from freestyle!

Hmmmmmmmmmm

Everyone's Sayin That Emery's Vocals Sucked. This Guy That Girl...So On And So Forth.Yous Have A Point. BUT...Freestyle Was Made By People From The Streets Who One Day Had An Idea And Got Alot Of Thier Artists By Approaching Regular Every Day People Askin * Yo U Wanna Be A Freestyle Singer? * And Worked On Them. Of COurse They Checked Thier Looks And What Not 2 See if Their Image Was Good. But Voices Like Emery's Made Freestyle. The Song Was Recorded In A Bathroom Man. Not A Million Dollar Studio. So U Can't Expect The Best of The Best. Ya Know?
Thank God My Song Wasn't Shouted Out Or I Was About 2 Break Some........EGGS 😛

hanson and davis

hungry for your love was and still is a great song i love that song is so passionate mmmmmm yummmmmmmy!!!!!!!!! and so was voice in fashions only in the night i saw them live 10 years ago or more. Those are good songs! A song that sucks is a day in my life without you by lisette melendez really sucks!!! But no offfense to any fans of hers remember opinions are like a------s everyones got one😉

🙁

Amen my Swedish Freestyle Brother. What would somebody who just listens to the radio know anything about real freestyle.

Songs like Joey Gold's Devil In My Heart,Groups like LAW and all the underground freestyle crap is what took freestyle to the gutter,it's pure trash and it never was sucessful and never will be because people might buy bad music but no one listens to horrible noise. That stuff is wack at best. That kind of Freestyle is dead because it disgraces the great Latino dance music Freestyle was meant to be.Those groups are just cheap make a quick buck immitators of the popular selling true legends of the style like Stevie B,Cynthia,George Lamond,TKA,Spanish Fly,Judy Torres,Angelina and Coro.Love Always,Omar 😉
