Today this afternoon, it will be announced that Baseball will return to DC!!!!!!!!!. The Expos will here at RFK Stadium next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jiggy
 
I think it's really sad that Canada has lost one of their MLB teams...now all that's left is the Jays

Many want it to be The Grays after THe Negro League team of the 50's.

I don't want it to be the Senators

But it is great in my lifetime to finally see Baseball back in DC. I was born 6 years after The Senators left town!

That was back when the Jays were amazing...they won back to back once by beating Philly and another by beating Atlanta...I don't see that happening again to the Jays in the foreseeable future 🙁
 
1 more thing. A team should have been here all a long!!!!! The team will work because; Washington DC is a #6 Market. In 1971 DC was just a Federal town, no MetroRail, The Northern Va and Md Surburbs was not completly developed. DC has a much more diverse population than 1971. Sadly our radio stations was better in 1971 than today!!LOL. DC has more Businesses now. Where I work at in a Downtown neighborhood; Golden Triangle, which is a big Tech hub!!!!!!!! Plus all of our Surburban towns has grown Like Silver Spring MD, Bethesda Md, they are both little Big Cities out side DC. NoVa has grown so much until The DC area may extend to Fredericksburg VA which is 50 miles south of DC. DC has lots in common with Both NYC and LA. We have huge busy downtowns with too much traffic like NY and we are a big city with Miles of Surburbs like LA!! So, DC has the income; Montgomery County MD and Fairfax County VA the two richest counties in The US!!!. Me I say More. Baseball.. Welcome Back To DC!!!!!!!!!!!!! In addition, we can support two Baseball teams and two Football teams. I 5-8 years; I see The Devil Rays in NoVa and I see The Colts in RFK soon. :dpeace
