I'm sure some of you know about this already since I saw a reference to this in a previous post, but Betty Dee of Sweet Sensation fame will be returning to the realm of dance music in a MAJOR way this year. Her vocal performance on Dynamix's "My Body, Tu Cuerpo" combined with excellent production will guarantee her a club hit. Even though the song is billed as "Sweet Sensation featuring Betty Dee", Margie, Mari or Shiela were not involved in this track. From what I can tell from very close listening, Betty is responsible for all lead and backing vocals. She sounds great and I say let's support it. The song is only available from perfectbeat.com and is in limited pressing right now. But if the demand is there, the supply will increase.

Now a warning.....It's not a freestyle song...even the House/Freestyle Mix doesn't come close to a freestyle track. Before everyone starts posting hater messages, keep in mind some things. One, it's not 1988 anymore. Rather than do a remix of "Never Let You Go" or "Take It While It's Hot" she is involved in a production which reflects what is going on in dance music right now. Two, Betty has not recorded anything new in 12 years, I think we should embrace it and respect that she has put her flawless vocals on a hot track. Besides, from what I understand, she still performs her old Sweet Sensation tracks when she performs "My Body, Tu Cuerpo". So when she does her shows in the future, everyone will still get their freestyle fix!

I had the one and only opportunity to meet Betty Dee of "Sweet Sensation" She agreed to meet for very special reasons. In my life Betty and Sweet sensation has been my favorite above all. My favorite Life song is "HOOKEDONYOU" See it is even my e-mail. Well, Ovideo and Wild Bill Were the best in life asking her to meet me. I cannot thank them enough. She hung out with me for almost an hour. We were backstage at the Night So Silent Night 3 Show. I asked her why she was gone so long, and she said there was other things she had going. She did tell me the rumors were untrue of her fighting with the rest of the girls. SO STOP THE RUMOR MILL ON THIS!!!!!!!

Heard the song, i like it..defintiely not anything close to Freestyle, but being that it's Betty (one of my favorites) I will support it all the way! 😉
 
When I picked up the track at the website offering the MP3 a while back, I instantly loved it and banged it on the Freestyle File Radio show.

Dynamix's "My Body, Tu Cuerpo", is a def must and will always support Betty & Sweet Sensation with any genre they decide to do.

Yeah....I'm in agreement with Nyasia. Personally, the track is bangin', and the production is flawless. Who cares if ain't Freestyle....at least she's doing something with herself. This IS what's HOT at the moment.

Since she is still in contact with the other girls, wouldnt it be great if she convince the other girls to perform with her again!!

I don't do the club scene anymore, but I would make an exception for this

That would be an awesome SHow MUZIK! I would love to see them perform again, now that would be a show worth going to.
 
What does she look like these days??? Last time I saw her in 2000, she had short curly dark hair... Did she age gracefully? Still have her sexy shape? etc...
