Did anyone see The Oscars last night?

I saw parts of it, Chicago cleaned house, man didn't Catherine Zeta Jones looked like a balloon last night?LOL. But the best thing was Michael Moore getting booed for his anti-war speech. He was saying That Bush won on a ficticious election and we are fighting a fictioucious war of fiction while getting our people killed. He said shame on BUSH!!!
 
omg..it was insane..lol...and be nice about Catherine..she's pregnant and due real soon...It appeared to be a sticky situation with the speech he made but everyone is entitled to speak in regards to how they feel...and he did.
 
I SAW SOME OF IT AND KATHERINE LOOKED GREAT FOR AN EXPECTING MOM...FREEDOM OF SPEECH GOT THE BEST OF HIM....AFTER THAT I SHUT THE SET OFF... 😉 😛 😉
 
The same shit happened to Richard Gere weeks after 9/11. When Gere said about us Uniting and not focusing on the negavity etc

I think a lot of people have anti-war feelings, but are less vocal now about expressing them.

It was different before the troops got involved in an active war.

I know that Madonna is changing the video for her song "American Life". It's not an anti war song, but the video originally shot was anti war. It was going to be released before the troops were shipped out, but got delayed.

She decided that since the troops were there already, she shouldn't release an anti war video.
 
The nicest speech of all was the one that Adrian Brody gave. Even though I havent seen The Pianist, it looks like an excellent movie and Im glad he won.

If there is one thing that I can't stand at all, is when people use the awards for thier own propaganda! Look, the war is already on, the least these filthy rich Aholes can do is support the troops that (many agains't thier own beliefs) are there and hope for thier safe return. But what does he know about war? fat bastid.
 
I never thought Catherine was ugly. She's a very beautiful lady!! But because the show was so watered down, it sucked. But Steve martin did a good job with hosting. I loved the joke he made about The Gay Mafia with the Mob leader waking up and finding a Poodle head next to him!!! That was so funny
 
I saw some of the Oscars. I think Chicago shouldn't have won in some of the catagories that it did. I just don't see why?
As for the AntiWar words? Well it didn't really belong in the Oscars. I also know about alot of info and stuff that is coming out on the internet about our government and some conspiracy theories and it really makes alot of sense. Our gov't isn't exactly what it seem's especially our current prez and his dad. Little clues are everywhere including some words in the Matrix and If you rent the movie "The Skull's" with Joshua Jackson which is based on some true event's. If you also think about it why did Saddam set fire to the oil and when his general's tried to tell and show some proof of some underhanded United States stuff, our news cut that off. I am very serious about this. If you look throughout the internet there are american people writing this. There are even books about this Conspiracy stuff. This war is not what it appears to be and there are American families losing loved ones for the wrong reason! Remember we attacked Iraq not the other way around. Saddam isn't and Angel but neither are some of the things going on over here. Be very careful!!
I'm sorry if you don't agree but... I'm just relaying info that other people are seeing too. God bless us all!!

I think Adrian Brody's sentiment was nice but he did talk for a long time, but his having a friend right here in Queens, I guess it hit home for him. Unlike other aholes (hence, Michael Moore)that felt a need to go off on the president.

The point is, not everyone voted for Bush (God knows I didn't) but he IS our president & it is something we have to deal with & Michael Moores Little rant was uncalled for & I am glad he got booed.
 
Yeah, I saw the show and I guess me being the nieve person I am living in my ignorance... I don't understand the need to speak bad about "our" president.

I don't think it's "war" that I sit here and support, but I do support the "need" for it for whatever reason. Maybe part of it is that America has become so comfortable being known as a strong country that we put our guard down and look what happened... September 11th. I never in a million years would have thought that something like that would happen now. Saddam is EVIL and must be destroyed. The things I read about this man is horrible and I don't understand how he's still walking on this earth. (people here have been killed for less) :lol

Seriously though, it was distasteful of Michael Moore or whatever his name is.

Take Pearl Harbor... we were attacked and then we counterattacked immediately. September 11th came and went and is Bin Ladden even spoken about any more like he was right after that day?

As for this war, what can I say, If I could magically make all of our troops come home safely and that no innocent people get killed, I would, {{{{coming out of fantasy land}}}} BUT I CAN'T.

I'm just babbling.... forgive me.
