Hey everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a long time freestyle fan living in Central PA. I'm 32 and where I lived the only freestyle we heard was the stuff that got national exposure like "Let The Music Play", "Take Me Home", "Can You Feel The Beat", "Love Letter", "Show Me" and the like.
I was really introduced to FS back when I was 15 and my cousin moved from NY to PA. He had been DJ'ing up there and he taught me how to mix Freestyle (we called it Club) and House. We would go up to NY every so often and come back with a ton of 12" records, then we found a local indy record store down here that started carrying labels like MicMac, Profile, Tommy Boy, Metropolitan, etc.
Some of my favorite artists are Coro, TKA, Cynthia, Johnny O, Stevie B, Safire, Sam Savon and Marc Anthony (whom I know did not really hit with any FS songs, but he wrote a lot of them - like Safire's "Boy I've Been Told" and Chrissy I-eece's "You Should Know By Now" on which he was featured).
Through the years I have written a number of FS songs and thanks to the internet and a large community of underground FS fans I've been motivated to finally record them and release them.
