This is an another debate that you started. And I have to say that I'm agree with you on this point.
But there is one main reason if you're listening over and over the same songs: it's a question of copyrights. If you want to release a medley to a major audience (Bad Boy Joe or Mixtress series for instance), you need to get the rights from labels, or producers, or artists, or...etc. If not, your production will be considered as a "bootleg" or a "not legit" release; even if one song is on your medley without the authorization of the persons concerned.

The other thing about medley is this one. If you buy a medley it's mainly for the skillz and talent of the DJ/remixer involved on a project (personally I enjoy the talent of Joe and Janelle), and also because you enjoy the tracks listing. Most of people who don't buy medleys are DJ/remixers or are collectors who are mixing themself or who are prefering to listen to their collection and not mixing songs. This is a personal choice that I understand and respect.
But those who are buying medleys are people who are not DJ or they love to listen to some songs "mixed" and "edited". This is a great opportunity to listen again to some old songs without to search them on compilation or on vinyl.

OK HERE IS MY 2 CENTS.... ON A PREVIOUS POST SOME TIME AGO PEOPLE WERE TALKING ABOUT HOW THE "NEW" FREESTYLE SUCKED AND THE OLD IS STILL BANGING! SO THIS IS A NO WIN SITUATION. ALOT OF PEOPLES STILL LOVE THE OLD SCHOOL FREESTYLE, ONE BEING ME! YOU SHOULD OF READ THE BACK OF THE DAMM CD AND MAYBE THEN YOU WOULD OF FIGURED OUT THAT IT IS THE OLD STUFF AND NOT BOUGHT IT IF YOU ARE TIRED OF THE OLD STUFF.....DUH! :dancepuff

i like the Mixtress' mixes better than Bad Boy Joe's. his are just song after song stringing together. thats boring. to me: Tim Spinnin Schommer is the GOD of freestyle mixes.:yeey
 
What's up everybody.. i am kinda new to Clubfreestyle.com but wanted to say what's up !!! and Happy Holidays.. I been so busy with everything but wanted to say that if you live here in the bay, and you catch me at the nightclubs I always carry CDs with me.. So you can even get my mix that I did back in 1997.. But thanks for everything and making my dream come true. Please feel free to write to me, I love heairng comments about what's up with freestyle to give me great ideas for my CD production. Thanks again and I meant it when I said "To all the hardcore frestyle fans and mixtress Fans, this CD is for you"...

Orgntr1 - you stated an opinion and I respect that. I don't know what else you are trying to prove except that you hate me, and that's ok. As a DJ all I can do is express myself through music, and I'm sorry that through my music I can't touch you the way I've touched my other fans.
