Ok...."Mixtress". I'm sorry but im gonna be direct. I just scoped out your new cd. I feel alot of the tracks you put on there are songs that most of us heard or have already. Now I dont know how you mixed those songs but I will say that we dont need another Bad Boy Joe. Cuz I guess he's the one putting out all these out played freestyle songs. I feel we dont need another like him. Try putting in some songs that are rare....that we haven't heard yet possibly. Be creative. I know you representing the west coast....let's kick it off with you putting out some new shit. Not...your average freestyle songs.

I agree with Francis..........The Mixtress has been putting out Freestlye mix cds for years. And I for one am happy to have her and Bad Boy Joe putting out new megamixes. Its hard for them to mix new songs when there are not that many out there. So its back to the classics

I too agree,

The actual title of the cd is DIVAS Of FREESTYLE..

how many new Freestyle artist have actually earned the title of diva?
I think she put together great mix with a classic feel...

I have 2 of the Mixtress' older mix cd's and they are OFF THE CHAIN. Get them if you can. I look forward to buying #3 and #4 as soon as I get some Christmas money......buying gifts is breaking me!

EXCACTLY.. I SUPPORT HER AS WELL, SHE IS FROM THE BAY AREA AS WELL AS ME AND SHE IS A DIVA! :sflower
GO GIRL!

Whatever guys. My point is this. Why is it always the same old songs??? "No new material"??? Well look at Tony Monaco for a sec. This dudes in Canada making new edition to his comp..."freestyle heaven" every year....accept these are new joints. And that's not it at all. He has other freestyle comps he releases on top of the "freestyle heaven".....all almost new tracks. Ok so "The Mixtress's" representing the west side....well....there's a crap load of producers I can name that I think are willing to give her the rights to their songs. You got Sidebuster (Kenny), you also got Randygalaxy...he has some stuff, Stevie B.'s letting go his new joints to ZYX that I think he wouldnt minds letting go for her to mix as well.

How many times has the track "release me" by Angelina been out in comps. I got to say...this is probably the 7th or 8th time that it has made it's way into another new comp. It's tired guys. You want new stuff. I mean this is why freestyle is at this point. The majority of the rest are all song s you probably have all heard. All I know is that I was close to buying her new cd...but when I saw the track listing....I had second thoughts. Theyre all songs you have all heard in one way or the other. Maybe she's targeting the audiences that doesnt really listen to freestyle today but remembers those songs. In my honest opinion to that, I feel those audiences are gone. I feel that that that particular audience has already been retrogressed by other means (radio, other shit). There are no other audience. Let's make new audiences.

I'm saying all this assuming that she mixed these songs like Bad Boy Joe where he would wait till the end of a particular track to mix fade to the other track.

ok how can i be nice about this hmmmmmmm if you dont like the cd then dont pick it up . but if you love freestyle you would get it no matter how it is i for one will still get it i dont hate any freestyle . just like when i hear something on the radio i dont like there is something called a plug i can pull so i dont have to hear it.

Ok, theres two sides to this.

One, you got people thinking like you. Very opened minded about new freestyle material.

Two, are the people who are judgemental, picky, in order to see some justice to this music. These people are usually in the business aspects of this.

I consider myself to be the second one.

I have no problem with the tracks she selected for her new comp. They were all perfect. They did well. But my argument was that these songs all have been out previously. "Now, That's What I Call Music" and "Totally Hits" compete against one another. They have never put out the same song in both comps. They want business. Thats how they got to play. Just an example Joe

ORIGINATOR:

SO you are talking about the cd and her and her mixing ability, comparing it to Bad Boy Joe and you have never heard her mixing talents........DUDE...........where do i start........actually, she is more CREATIVE of a mixer than BBJ not to say I dont like his mixes cause i do but they are totally different.........Both great in there own right

as for tony monaco and freestyle heaven.....you were giving props to those cds......forgive me. but they suck....the music is only about 50% freestyle, other half is Breaks.....and the MIXING about 75% of the time SUCKS...........so if you like that cd then you should FALL IN LOVE with the mixtress' mic cd its FAR BETTER than all the Freetyle Heaven cds!

Remember The Mixtress Made Her Name Off Of Freestyle And This Is What Exposed Her To The Bay Area....she Has Since Moved On To Other Music Like Most Dj's....sad.very Sad....and Now She Has Taken The Time To Do Another Freestyle Cd ???? This Is Great News For Freestyle Because She Has Gone Back To Her Roots And Put Her Name With Freestyle Again...this Can Help Freestyle To Some Extent??? Maybe Not ??? But, She Needs To Use New Material As I Said Before About These Comps ??? Same Songs...different Dj's Is Not Working.....there Is Plenty Of Freestyle To Choose From....if Your Afraid To Try Different Songs Then Don't Make Comps.....i, Myself Have Not Picked This Cd Up Since I Already Heard These Songs On Other Comps And Have My Own To Choose From....SHOW Me Something Different And You Have My Support !!!!! :cheer

SHE IS very creative how she mixes, uses backbeats to make songs sound different. i think all should give it a try. i know i will
