I don't know how true this is, but i read on another freestyle site that SAFIRE is set to perform at CLUB OCTANE, in Monteray, California this Saturday, September 27, 2003.

She hasnt had a performance in nearly a year, so take advantage of this california!! Perhaps she'll have some new material!!
 
Yes, she is performing this Saturday in Cali. Whoever has the opportunity to see her perform will not be dissapointed, because her whole performance is tight as HELL! This lady goes out of her way to make sure she looks good on stage and that her show is off the hook. So head out to the club this weekend and have a great time watching my girl do her thang!😉

omg and I can't fly out there to see her. I've never seen her perform live. she has been my idol for as long as i remember and i've never seen her perform. 🙁
 
I do not think she will be doing any more shows after this one.
Although in my opinion...
I wish she would continue. If she said to me today that she is
going to perform again, I would be like OH YEAH! CF will always be
with her whatever she decides.

Maybe she will post up and fill us in. Keep in mind she is doing
so many other things like writing for other artists, keeping her
family life strong among other things.. so I hope she will have
the time to jump in and post.
 
Finally it is out lol she is doing a one time show I wish I could see her one last last time cause like my partnah says she always looks great so well put together never frumpy or tacky always up to date with her unique stylo and her performance is hotttttttt as hell so if your in the area be sure to see her it will truly be the last time. No more shows this is a one time thing for special reasons so don;t miss it and show are beautiful Diva some love. 😀
 
Damn, I wish Cali was a hop skip and a jump away from here. 🙁 I'll always cherish the one and only time a saw Safire perform back in '89. She performed with DINO "SUMMERGIRLS" She put on one hell of a show, and totally blew us away at the OLD Riverside Park, which is now called Six Flags in Agawam, MA. I'll never forget that show. WE MISS YOU SAFIRE. Good luck and best wishes at the show and with any of your future endeavors/projects.

I doubt Safire is going to retire. She's just taking a little break, that's all.

I'm sure she's busy working on other things, absorbing as much as she can so that when she does come back, it's better than the first time around.

You people act as if she's going to "retire" as in, no more tours, no more albums, etc. I think she loves the lifestyle she's in way too much to hang up her mic and hide in a cave somewhere.

I saw her perform at the Exit show a few years back and that was the first time I had ever seen her and it was totally what I needed, emotionally.

She'll be back. Just give her time and let her do her thing.
 
If anyone has ever had the chance to sit down and speak to SAFIRE as I have several times in the past, you could see how sweet and how down to earth she really is. If she decides to do a few shows, it must be that she still loves the music as much as she loves her fans. I think it's a blessing to have her amongst all of us.
 
she will no longer be doing shows, as far as freestyle goes. she has retired from"freestyle" although she will always love it, she is doing different things now. she is writing, she is working on her new stuff (not freestyle), btu she will always love her freestyle.😉
 
Word I have gotten from the promoters themselves was that this is just a favor so to speak since this will be an anniversary party for the promoters. She has close ties with them so she agreed to do it. But she is "retired" from Freestyle. I agree with Kenny. She is as down to earth as any artist you will ever meet. I know I'll be up in there. Hell yeah!

OMG- WHEN I WAS THE FREESTYLE EXPLOSION THEY WERE HANDING OUT FLIERS TO THE SHOW SHE IS DOING IN MONTEREY. THE LAST TIME I SAW HER WAS BACK LAST YEAR IN MARCH WITH JOHNNY O AND HER AT A CLUB IN SAN JOSE CALLED POLLYESTERS! THAT IS WHEN SHE ANNOUNCED TO ALL US CALI HEADS THAT SHE INDEED WAS RETIRING.DEFFENITLY GOING TO THIS ONE!FINALLY CALI GETS SOME LOVIN!!!!!:hearton 😉

That was the first show the promoters who are bringing her to Monterey actually threw. Full circle right? Oh, and by the way, I was hosting that show. LOL.
 
not for nothing, i know she maybe doing this last show as a favor,,but why not do the "last" show out here in NY ---her home area, rather then out in Cali?? damn i wish i could fly out and see her, her shows were always the shyyyyt

CAUSE YOU ALWAYS GET THE GOOD SHOWS OVER THERE! ITS ABOUT DAMM TIME CALI GETS THE LOVE!!!!!! YOU GUYS GET LIKE WHAT 10 SHOWS A WEEK BY DIFFERENT FREESTYLE PEEPS AND WHAT WE GET THEM 4 TIMES A YEAR? SO YAH, WE GET BRAGGING RIGHTS!😉
