Times have really changed. I remember back in the days, if we did something that deserved a spanking, then a spanking it was from our parents. And it didn't kill us! We're still here. Still alive. And most of us appreciate our parents doing whatever they had to do to help us be who we are today.

However, in todays world....we have the law that has changed all that. Today you have to be careful not to spank your child where someone with "authority" can have you arrested. These kids are so protected today. Now don't get me wrong, there are kids that need that protection because there is a lot of child abuse today. But hey, I'm sure there was child abuse back in the days too. And sometimes, today, like yesterday, your child, my child, somebody else's child may deserve to have a spanking after you have tried everything else in punishing them. I've heard of parents being arrested because the child went to school and told their teacher that their mother or father hit them. ACS gets involved and twists the whole thing around. Sometimes, it wasn't the "abuse" they're looking for. It was just a good old fashion spanking.

What are your feelings on this?

All I know is that my dad used to whoop me w/ the extension cord! And I WASN'T even a bad kid! Pero.. today? U do that? And Yea.. u will be arrested. And whats even worst is, the system looks at you like a "bad parent" when ur child grows up to be a menace to society because you DIDN'T discipline them!

I Was A Lil Bad Ass And I Used To Get Whooped With Everything That Was Available. But I Was Never One Of Those Kids That Went To The Teacher And Told Her My Peeps Hit Me.

Lol. My Mom Still Whoop My Lil Brothers Ass. She Dont See That. If He Deserved It, He Gets It. But I Mean She Doesnt Leave Briuses Or N E Thing Like That. And Its Not Like She Does It All The Time Either. Just When The Lil Brat Really Deserves It.

Hell Im Glad My Peeps Whooped My Ass A Couple Of Times. I Deserved Them. If They Didnt Do It, I'd Be A Lil Bad Ass Instead Of The Good Girl I Am. :d

Hrs Jumps All Down Your Throat And Tries To Make The Kids (i Was In The Situation) Say What They Wanna Hear Instead Of What Actually Happened. Sucks. But They Havent Stopped Alot Of Ppl I Know From Whoopin Their Kids.
 
Well my momdukes aint hit us much but when she did, SHE DID & I'm glad for the whoopings now that I'm a man.
I see my cousins that did whatever they wanted back in the days doing bidz, always in the grind all cause they lacked a few chancletazos from their momdukes !!!!!!

I WILL WHOOP MY BOY'S ASSES'S IF THEY DESERVE IT. BUT THATS THE ONLY PART I WILL SPANK. THE OTHER PLACES ARM, HEADS, ETC I WILL NOT SPANK. BUT I WILL PULL THERE ARM FROM TIME TO TIME.. OR THERE EARS!
BUT IF THE KID NEEDS TO BE SPANKED, BY ALL MEANS WHOOP THERE ASSES! :lol
 
Shiiiitt, the day the cop brought me home my dad beat my ass in front of them, the only thing the cop said was "listen to your father kid". Today shit has changed that's why we have these little disrespectfull punks around, cause they don't know what a good as whoopin can do!!! I'm glad my dad was the way he was. He taught me respect and right from wrong and what would happen if I didn't.

I got CPS and ACS and I gotta work w/ a parent guide ALL Becuz MY OLDEST hit the LIL one and left a bruise on his face- and at the time we were seeking therapy and help for him.

he's sinc ebeen on meds for his problems and is doing better- but now i gotta deal w/ these people for a while.......
 
I'm not a parent, but I see what my sister goes through, I believe that the new laws are bullshit, statement that even if you spank your child , you can face consequences, I think that every parents deserves to discipline thier child any way they want to, but of course there is a threshold, some parents go overboard and give toddlers bruises and scars, and thats uncalled for. I think the system is setup for parents not to touch thier kids, because it raises the crime rate, which they live of off, like Tupac says, Bigger Prisons equals Bigger Bu$iness, more arrests equals more income to those who sit back and regulate the rules. Do you know where I'm getting at?

Wow Liz, I'm sorry you have to deal with them. It must feel like walking on eggshells. And then it must feel like you're never going to be rid of them. Hang in there mama.
 
I don't spank often, like only a few times a year, but I'm gonna spank my kids (only on the their butts) whenever it's warrented...... in a store, at home, wherever..... no matter what any bullshit law says... 🙂 let one of these "lawmakers" watch my 18, 12, 9, 6 & 2yr olds for one day and see how fast their minds change!!!!!! 🙂
