Last night a new NHL Stanley Cup Champion was named. The Tampa Bay Lightning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With a score of 2-1 over The Calgary Flames.

The question is; Is this The Last Stanley Cup Game for a while? With a Lockout looming and low ratings(I hear QVC beat the Stanley Cup in ratings.LOL). It would look bad if NHL went on Strike. It's bad enough these teams are finalcially strapped and Lifetime, and HGTV are beating The NHL in ratings. Worst thing, The WNBA is got better ratings than The NHL. This sport cannot afford a Lockout. Then PBA Bowling will be a major sport compared to The NHL. Wait, That would be an insult to Bowling.
 
The players are screwing themselves. They want more money but theyt are going to lose the little fan base they got. So where are they planning on getting the cash from? God knows it's not from their good looks. Most players dont even have their own teeth.

Even if the players dont go on strike, they need to do something. Games are so boring and I couldnt even name to you half the teams in the league. Most people only watch during playoffs. Not sure what they need to do but they are going under and going under fast

The problem with The NHL is. They spent their time convincing themselves they are a 4th Major sport. Except for Wayne Grezky, mario Lemuex, brett Hull(who are old or retired), they do not market their star player. The best player in The NHL is Jerome Inglina for Calgary. Nobody even know who he is. And Tampa Bay's Martin St Louis. Nobody even know who he is. Plus, the sport does not translate to TV because of the puck. They need to get rid of The Red line,make the rink bigger and find a way to increase scoring. Americans do not like games that ends in ties!! Plus, cites that do not need Hockey teams. Carolina, Nashville, Pheniox, LA. There is no interest in Hockey there. Plus there needs to be more big rivarly between the original 6 teams like Toronto vs Boston. Detroit vs Montreal.
