problem with the yankees. is that 90 percent of the people who follow the yankees never played the game.

they dont see what i see llloll. petitie and clemens and wells. had ice water in their veins. and bernie sucks. and the other two assholes who pitched middle relief 3 years ago. had ice water in their veins. mendoza and the white guy who got into that fight in boston.

that was an all star crop. but with ice water. they didnt get nervous. these guys. are like girls.

youll never get a crop of guys like that again. when you play in the playoffs your gonna have many ups and downs. these guys dont got what it takes for all those ups and downs.

Lame teams such as the M.U.T.S can't win a damn pennant for that matter. Then what other N.Y. team shall anyone go for to win championships or to get respect in MLB?? This thread has officially become baseball retarted. All of you make laughable baseball points. First and foremost the Yankees got beat by the better team. The Angels have way better pitching both starting and relief and they play more fundlemental baseball than the yankees. Second Robinson was out because he ran inside the base pads but the series wasnt lost there. The turning point in the series was game 3 when Randy Johnson gave up 5 earned runs in three innings, Randy not living up to his hype in the playoffs was the problem. Another point goes out to Rbonuc29, you must live in fantasy land, yea i know the Yankees have a unlimited payroll but theres no way a other baseball GM will ever trade for ARod or Giambi and give up quality pitching. First there way overpaid and are virtually untradeable, besides ARod is in his prime and a future hall of famer, so be thankful you have such a great talent in a yankee uniform. This team pitching has incredible inconsistant so it shouldnt have been a suprise and this is such a old team. Brown, Embree, Gordon, Johnson, Lieter, Mussina, Rivera, Flaherty, Martinez, Sierra and Williams are all over 35+ years old. In the off season they need to focus on getting younger in starting and relief, Rbonuc29 try coming up with reasonable aquisitions for your underachieving team.

I think what NVDisMa meant was, that Yanks have history not only in numbers but players that are memorable. Say JoeD, Ruth, Thurman, Yogie, Gehrig. Just to name a few. From Yesteryear to the present. Even if was '98 when they were called ''Dynasty". Which IMO were one of the best years ever since the forementioned. Chicago ain't goin' anywhere dude. They did beat BoSux I give 'em that bit. Anyways, g'nite mates.

I get your point and its right the Yankees are one of the storied franchises in sports but I dont think she meant it that way if she did then my bad. Also im not really a White Sox fan, I cheer for the other time on the other side of the town, I think the Angels are gonna win because there a better team and Chicago baseball teams always find a way to lose it in October. remember 03

Ok mr. IplayedbaseballintheminorsandIknowmorethananyoneelse. You should know that baseball is a game of statistics not whatever your rambling on and on about. How can you call Bernie Williams a loser, hes on of the best and classiest players in Yankee history. List of accomplisments 1996 ALCS MVP, 4 time Gold Glove winner, conerstone of Yankee dynasty in the late 90's. The only thing wrong with Willams is hes getting old, hes not the same player but he would always be a winner. Give me examples of them not playing well together...Also the Angels were a better team period Here are the numbers:
