For sports fans like me, since The Stanley Cup, NBA Finals and US Open is done so is sports. June starts what on Sports Talk radio is known as The Dog days of Sports( between June and Mid August). All there is is baseball, nobody cares about baseball until after the All Star Break. The only things in the summer other than baseball is The NBA Draft, Wimbleton and The Baseball All-Star game. I'm sad because; I have to wait two months before NFL, College Football training camp!!🙁

hey mike speak for your self about baseball. baseball is my #1 football is my # 2 mets fan here all the way since age of 7 and right now fun to watch

How did I know this was gonna be about sports before I even opened the thread? LOL!

Mike! 😉 The way the days are passing by...no worries! It'll soon be time for those trainin camps you were talking about! 🙂

I love baseball, but because there are 162 regular season games, they don't matter until after the AllStar break. So except for Clemens 300th win and Sosa's corked bat, the games now are useless now.

its been over here in philly for sports since the eagles were knocked out we have the phillies lol who wont wake there bats up we got a win lastnite but we are still 9 games out braves wont lose.

Hell nah! I am in the Fantasy Leagues for Baseball (and Football) and it is still useful to watch 😛

You can tell this is a slow sports week when ESPN is having huge headlines about David Beckham getting traded from Man United to Real Madrid. When a Euro soccer star...errr Mr Posh Spice is getting huge headlines in The US, sports news are slow. And for a whole week now; ESPN Sportscenter has Suzi Kolber broadcasting from a Pier in Santa Monica CA interviewing old Dodgers and Giants. This is indeed, The dog day of sports.
