frankie not nice i am 42 and i grew up on that ClASSIC ROCK OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER WHEN KISS DESTROYER CAME OUT WITH DETROIT ROCK CITY 😉
 
while driving to get dog food, I did a quick check in to Power 92.3 in the morning (because it automatically switches to radio when you take the c.d. out in the car) and listened to another one of the morning shows stupid stunts. Since the Lakers are playing the Pistons, Gringo Suave from MG's morning madhouse decided he would show everyone that he was the biggest lakers fan, so his plan was to dress up in full Kobe Lakers gear and jump in the lake with an afro. He had a cell phone wrapped in a plastic bag so the people on the radio could listen to the stupidity live. After the event took place, he came out and let everybody know his death defying stunt was successful and he was o.k. There was an applause at the station from the morning show, then he tells everyone that the lake has just been pissed on and he says "get it? the lake has just been pissed on, the Lakers are playing the Pistons.." You just have to hear how the people sound in the morning. Even if the joke is moderately funny, their voices and dumb laughs just mess it all up - at least for an urban station that's going towards an urban format. Once they replace their morning show (with something better of course), then I wont have any more comments, good or bad, to make about that station, they will just be at a level of "average" for me, kind of like getting a C in school. The car stereo was originally on 104.7 KissFM and "leave" by JoJo came on when I turned on the car, so this is why I changed it to Power 92.3 #1 for hip hop and r&b - just as long as it wouldn't be on KissFM when I took the c.d. out. Also, just incase you were wondering, I was listening to Felix The Housecat's new c.d., which is IN STORES NOW!

Well if any station is playing something I don't like regardless of genre,.. well guess what I have a bunch of other presets to hit to listen too. But I feel your pain no one or stations I mean really play any freesytle type music,. but theres always the internet for that.

I disagree....just go to the West Village on a Saturday night after Midnight and you'll find PLENTY of sounds coming from the pavement!! LOL!!!
 
we have a station like that here in toronto called JACK-FM.
"we play what WE wanna hear" is the slogan.
 
^^ i used to hate kiss 92.. but once jack fm took over that i wish kiss was back! i agree dumb slogan
 
Here in Dallas Texas, we have a stationed that will play a lot of Latin music to include Freestyle, but most of the Freestyle they play is severely megamixed or ancient. Now don't get me wrong, I love the Freestyle classics, but how can a station like this keep freestyle alive if they keep feeding the younger listening generation the same songs that they heard their parent's listening too while growing up. Again, they won't play the new FREESTYLE and so, I stopped listening. Ah hello personal Freestyle collection... here I come!
