I don't know if I had posted this or not, but for those who still are clueless about why WCW had merge with WWE here's why.
Eric Jerkoff who was responsible for WCW's rise was also part of the reason for it's fall. Eric had came up with a good idea with The NWO which boosted Monday Nitro's ratings above(then taped delayed)WWE RAW between 1996-1999. But Eric kelp milking the life out of The NWO til he neglected the other WCW superstars! WCW superstars like Jerico, Big Show(then The Giant) grew bitter and jumped to WWE and gained better carrers. After while, The NWO storyline just played out.
Also, WWE's loss of Bret Hart to WCW was the begining of the end for WCW. Eric was signing to many veterans and too many guranteed contracts for so much money. WCW did nothing with Bret Hart but signed him to lots of guranteed money. Over at WWE, Vince was taking young talent like The ROCK and HHH and building them into superstars.
Last, The AOL/Time Warner merger was WCW's dagger in the heart. The Blacksuits of AOL/Time Warner was controlling WCW and showing lack of respect for pro Wrestling. They gave lack of support to WCW. That was the true end to WCW.
