On November 27th, me and 3 of my friends went to the Copa for the Freestyle concert w/ Coro, Cynthia. Noel and etc... Well, the point is, The club was filled at least 2-3 times its capacity which was not only a fire hazard, but, made it very, very uncomfortable when you are trying to watch the performances and there are 100 people smacking, pushing, and knocking into you. I got really tired of people saying..."Oh im sorry". This was a terrible experience which gets worse...Let me talk about the bar for a second if i can...First time there, 2 beers, a shot of tequila, 1 screwdriver and 2 malibus...$44.00...my problem isn't with the price, its that, the second trip to the bar...1 beer, 1 shot of tequila, 2 malibus and 1 screwdriver...$42.00...1 less beer and only a $2 difference, i think that you were making up your prices as the night went on, which is not only wrong, but devious too. It wasn't enough I had to pay $25.00 per person x4 people to get in, then get ripped off at the bar, then get pushed and knocked around all night, I don't even know which is worse to tell you the truth. Me and my friends went there for a nice evening and it turned into a night from HELL!!! I know I cant ask for a refund of the price for the concert, even thought i almost threw up from being so hot from being so damn crowded, I am sur I will NEVER EVER visit your establishment again and I will b sure to tell all my friends, business associates, etc...my night at the COPA

i agree that the place was filled but if you knew who to look for and where to stand, like my friends and i, then you would've enjoyed the show. my friends did b8tch bout the drink line. but the prices were usual for NYC. if you hang around this site you will meet most of us NYC area peeps and be able to hang w/us 2 the shows. we always have fun and get VIP access.

Well I agree with Scorpion about the unpleasantness at the bar. My hubby and I tried to get a drink along with Smoothrhythm and was told it was an hour wait! WTF! :mad An hour wait! I was pissed!

Other than that, I loved the environment because it was ALL freestylers! It reminded me of back in the days when LaMirage was the hottest club in the Bronx!
 
I agree with scorpion and withla bettyboop the situation at the bar. I was so upset I could not get a drink but overall I had a blast, yes it was hard to see the performance but overall. I had a blast. Sorry to hear scorpion.

Just wanted to say that the Copa was off the hook...My favorite part of the night was TKA with George Lamond singing with them what is better than 3 cuties singing FREESTYLE with there beautiful voices ...I had the best time it was truly a night to remember!!!!
 
Hey i have a question where was "a" in TKA ABY Right??? hes a cutie too but why wasnt he there???? :cool
 
he is no longer with the group. he is breaking out on his own and producing i think.

Well Aby wasn't there but the other "A" in TKA was there! Angel. 🙂 He was there supporting. 😉 Aby might've been busy that night.
