do u ever find u like freestyle songs because theyre so cheesy & wacked it makes them cool

for example i think debbie deb - lookout weekend is just terrible songwriting with a .. i'll say simplistic beat. but thats the reason i like it so much, its because it's so cheesy it's amazing.

anyone else think some songs can be so cheap sounding it makes them cool

The vocals are sooooo off-key but, for some reason, it works. I generally hate cheesy sounding songs, but this one just works. I don't know why.

AAWWW Dude , I Love This Song!!! Always have - Always Will!! Yeah, I know what you mean though, the way he just kind of wines his way through the whole song is soooo intriguing. And the lyrics are sooo "High School" Like.

Thats probly THE most dopest Freestyle Ballad Period! And then It would be Micheal Christofer : I dedicate my Love. Those are my favorites!!

As for my cheesy or Low Budget favorites , It would have to be Freestyle New comer "Ceasar" From Texas. In my oppinion this is not high quality freestyle and sounds real cheesy, But thats what makes it soo tight!

It's not freestyle and I don't really consider VLA to be a freestyle artist. He classifies himself as dance.
 
First of all, ALL freestyle artists consider themselves "dance". I have yet to hear any artist classify themselves a "freestyle" artist.

Secondly, if you've heard any of his sings ("You Are The One", "Sweet Little Lady (Rockin Your Body)", "I Gave My Heart To You", etc), you would know that he is totally a freestyle artist. Everything from the beats to the keys to the melodies to the lyrics just screams freestyle.

What is it about VLA that you don't consider freestyle? :confused
 
To me,

VLA is freestyle, but he won't say that to anyone if he wants to be taken seriously (and that's OK with me).

I personally like "I Gave My Heart".

Whatever he calls himself is irrelevant, but he does have a cheezy-yet-cool appeal to his music. I rocked his song @ my radio show back in the day EVERY DAY ('cuz people requested it).
 
www.vla.ca If you want to read what he sias about being freestyle. As for my 2 cents, VLA is Freestyle , no questions asked. And its a damn shame he never coughed up a full length, cuzz Id spend My last doller on it.
 
Lil Suzy is cheesie as you can get. The only Suzanna (like she likes to be called) that isn't cheesie it Promise Me. I know everybody is getting ready to blast for saying this but she is. But, I have her cd's ~ isn't that ironic.!

Hmmmm.....LIL'SUZY cheesy???NOT!!! love her but I am not a fan of HINRG, which is what some of you are probably, thinking of when you think of some of her music is cheesy,its a EURO & CANADIAN sound,that alot of us just dont like as much, I do repect it,but to me it died out in the early90's with LABOUCHE & 2 UNLIMITED.She just needs to do 100% HARCORE FREESTYLE and her albums will be OFF THE HOOK.Her whole album should be all FREESTYLE and maybe one or two FREESTYLE ballads, thats what the FREESTYLE fans want,ARTISTS really have not done that since the 1980's and early 90's, I for one really miss traditional FREESTYLE albums.LOL, to SUZANNE for being so loyal to her FREESTYLE fans,beleive not all FREESTYLE artists are like that.

i've been doing this for so many years but could some one please explain to me what a freestyle ballad is and could you give me an example of it
