I am from india. there is a portuguese colony in India called Goa where everyone speaks portuguese as a first language before any other despite being Indian. Goa is compared to Ibiza, Mykonos. thats where the term goa trance comes from. Goas influences are great Dj's like Sasha, Paul okenfoald, Rollo, BT, talvin singh, A.R.Rehman, Sash, Cream, ministry of Sound, the Zoo Boys bobby and Steve, adamski,Sister Bliss, Norman Cook (fatboy Slim),Goldie, everyone on Kiss FM UK, judge Jules, radio 1 Dj's, Acid jazz, the list goes on ond on and on. Jade, if you are planning on doing a live to air over the internet you will need a stable internet connection and a hosting service that does live streaming media. I personally know that there are a few companies in Toronto that offer that service.

I would like to see it get off the ground.

We'll definitely need to approach them. Let me see what I can come up with Con and the club first. They need to ok it, before we even try to look any further. If they okay it, we'll need to get into setting this stuff up. So besides a stable internet connection (is cable good enough or like sympatico?), and a hosting service, we need a comp (is a laptop sufficient) and what else? JackG email me with what I would need; I'm assuming it would be similar to the setup you have on Sundays with KTU when Johnny spins. I'd need that info, before even pitching the idea. Let me know, and I'll get it going. Trust me, with my business skills I could sell chastity belts to bill!!! lol

Cable or DSL Internet would be adequate, assuming that whoever you get to host this internet broadcast is capable of handling the traffic. That is the ticket, it is not good if their streaming media server dies because too many people wanting to listen to the show.

Worst case scenario, we'll just organize a clubfreestyle night at one of the 2 P's and we'll get Jack to advertise it here. We've got enough local freestylers to really make it go, and maybe some of our New Yorkers will come up and get their party on with us!!!
