We all gather at my mother’s house. Some of us brave the cold weather and go see the Thankgiving Parade. The little ones say grace in English and then my father gives us his blessing in Spanish.

For Thanksgiving dinner, we usually have a feast (since we are 13 in my extended family). We have 2 turkeys, arroz con fidelos (angel hair pasta), pasteles, sweet potato pie, mashed potatoes, green beans in garlic sauce, steamed carrots and corn.

An assortment of desserts; chocolate pudding pie, apple pie ala mode, pumpkin pie, flan de queso, marble cheesecake, cheesecake with cherries.

After dinner, we usually play games – Scrabble, 20 Questions, Monopoly, or play cards.

Its just a relaxing day! A time to feast on some good food and good company!! 🙂

I haven't been to PR in years and was telling my husband this weekend that I really want to go vacation there. If I left my 4 yr old behind, he would die without me. lol...........

YEAH IT'S CAUSE MY DAD IS A PAIN IN DA ASS....LOL NAHHHH HE JUST LOVES TO STAY HOME, WE CAN BARELY GET HIS ASS OUT SOMEWHERE, AND SOMETIMES IT WOULD BE THANKSGIVING OR CHRISTMAS AT MY HOUSE AND HE WOULD STAY HOME..THAT WOULD REALLY PISS ME OFF. SO I DECIDED THAT WE WOULD HAVE THANKSGIVING AT MY MOMS SO MY DAD DOESN'T HAVE TO GO ANYWHERE AND I HAVE CHRISTMAS AT MY HOUSE, SINCE I USED TO DO THE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS AT MY MOM'S AND NOW I HAVE MY OWN HOUSE, MY MOM DOESN'T EVEN BOTHER...LOL SO I DO XMAS!! AND MY DAD HAS BEEN SHOWING UP LATELY....HEHE I THINK THE GRAND KIDS HAVE CHANGED HIM A BIT...THERE ARE 4 GRANDKIDS NOW 2 ARE MINE AND 2 ARE MY BROTHERS :biggrin
 
Latina, that does it to them. The grandkids have this power and can soften them up! :blah But that's great because I'm sure your mom doesn't mind getting out of her house to go to yours.
