Okay how many people have the traditional turkey for Thanksgiving? I do. I like it. But I know other people that don't like turkey and they make "pernir" (roast pork) or virginia ham. I love both of those too but for some reason, I still like the traditional turkey. What do you make for Thanksgiving? Let's all get ideas from one another. Tell it all, include everything like desserts too.

Canadian Thankgiving is the in early October...so it passed and my mom does the turkey thing and it was amazing...but she does it the traditional portuguese way with rice and potatoes and the deserts are usually recipes from portugal of things i dont even know what u would call em in english....bte u didnt know we canadians have thanksgiving in October lol 😛

Yes cuz since we get severe and early winters...our harvesting season is much earlier than that of the USA hence the early thanksgiving...but all other holidays are the same 😛

Ya never know when you may need that type of useless info 😛

We Always Have The Works; Turkey, Ham W/ Pineapples, Corn On The Cob,biscuits, Mashed Potatoes And Gravy, Etc. Etc. But We Also Include Tamales And We Eat All Day Long And Go To About 5 Homes Where Everyone Has Cooked The Same Food, My Fav Is Pecan Pie! Yummmmyyyyy!

Oh no damn.......lol....lol.... :blah I don't eat all that.....but I have a big enough family and they never stop eating! Because I cook, I usually don't eat much.

Well, When I Do Get Away With Not Cooking I Eat All Day; But When I Am Forced Kicking And Screaming To Cook I Eat As I Go! Lol!!! I Only Let Myself Go Nuts On The Holidays And The Rest Of The Year I Work It Off.lol!!!!

Down here in Puerto Rico, everyone has turkey, now the stuffing recently has changed adding Mangu or Monfongo (dominican style, mashed plantains with onions and other stuff) which is very very tasteful. This stuffing I've seen on too many puertorican homes lately.

Now the other stuff include, Pasteles, Arroz con Gandules, Potato Salad, Flan de Queso or Cheesecake for dessert. Yummmy it's lunch time peep and I'm huuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnggryyyyy. We never forget the wine.

ohh I like tamales too. never had that for Thanksgiving.
