Yes, we need to remember that not everyone is going to agree on everything. Though we may not agree, we need to respect each other's views. Though I believe the one thing we all agree on is that we do not want any more acts of terrorism to occur in our soil(or any other for that matter). Unfortunately wars fought over religion have been fought for thousands of years, there's not much we can do to stop it.

Immigration is such a hot topic. I myself was not born here, but luckily my Dad was so I have duel citizenship. Many people in my circle(friends & family) are or at one point have been illegal. Each of them have tried to do it "the right way" first by applying for visas in their own country. The trip here was not easy for any of them. I know many people who were shoved into the back of a truck for days at a time. My ex had crossed the Arizona desert barefoot cause they had stolen his shoes and when his sister came the coyotes had kidnapped her and kept her hostage until they got more money from us. My theory is to set up stations and give certain visas easier, but charge a hell of a lot more for it. Believe me, the immigrants will pay. Possibly even set up an immigrant tax and when they become residents or citizens, the tax no longer applies. At the stations they can test for illnesses and all the extra money can be put into investigating the immigrants and controlling the borders, because obviously anyone who wouldn't want to go through is hiding something. Felons get thrown right out. I could give many immigration horror stories or ideas.
