Hey everyone,

I wanna suggest a Sweet Sensation complation of their best songs, & possibly have someone get the idea, & make it happen.
My track listing goes like this:

1. Hooked On You
2. Victim Of Love (original version)
3. Never Let You Go
4. Take It While It's Hot
5. Sincerely Yours
6. Let Me Be The One
7. Love Child
8. Each & Everytime
9. If Wishes Came True
10. Bring It Back (bring the house down mix)
11. I Surrender (Carlos Berrios mix)
12. Child Of Love (special mix)
13. Hooked On You (version #2)
14.
15.


I left 14 & 15 blank cuz I diddnt know if I should choose other songs or mixes or if it will be possible to have Betty Lebron come & sing a modern club remix of one of the hits.

What do u guys think of this whole idea??
 
I agree w/ Francis...enough of the "greatest hits"...wheres the new stuff? Ive been bumpin the oldschool freestyle since junior high....i need some new beats!
 
Why would u wanna hear another "Greatest Hits" album? How bout a newest hits album instead? NEW SONGS YO!!!!
 
Well, since Sweet Sensation is never getting back together, I like the "Greatest Hits" idea.

Track 14 should be "one Good Man" and track 15 should be "Pleasure & Pain".
 
What was the deal with Sweet Sensation? Where did it all fall apart? I mean we all know by know that the girl groups of the 80s, were the brainchild of producers/managers who owned the groups lock, stock and barrel. But Sweet Sensation were at the height of their career when several line-up changes took place. And why do the girls not reunite for some "old school" shows? Kenny or Chuck can either of you guys shed some light on this?
 
I used to speak to the groups guitarist for a while and he told me the whole story but i dont have a great memory like RHOq & ANTHONY so i cant recollect it anymore. i recall it had do something to do with an ugly battle between them and their record label.
 
They were phat tracks "Love Games" & "Heartbreak", but they were not singles.
Nor "hits".
& Even if they were added, ....It would mean their "Hits" compilation is literally their COMPLETE 1st album, with other songs.
It wouldnt be right.

I NEVER said lets get Sweet Sensation back together, (almost impossibe),
I just suggested that it would be nice to have just Betty Lebron herself come in & sing moder-club mixes of some of the classics to fill "The Best Of - Sweet Sensation".

I know everyone has had enough of "Greatest Hits" compilations, but "SS" - (Sweet Sensation) never released one.

& IT IS CONVENIENT for those of us that have a hard time looking for certain songs & mixes that are on "Out-of-print" (OOP) ablums, singles, & or are sick of just getting one of the artists songs on a compilation.
In the "Hits" albums, u should get all the hits....& more!

AND, it makes it easier than switching from CD to CD, when u can just have them all on one.

New SS material??...... I WISH!!!
Hopefully in the future something will pop-up, but I beleive a "Best Of.." album would be nice, & very well deserved for SS.
At least for now.....

"One Good Man" & "Pleasure & Pain" were my other choices .....lol.

I also love the long version of "Take It While It's Hot".

Im one of those "psycho-collectors" that would blow money on a "non-needed" CD just for the photo cover pics & rare insert pics.

I will be interested by a Greatest Hits of Sweet Sensation, only if the content of this CD proposes remixed and never-heard-before versions of their hits. This is just the word of a collector, because I really don't care of a Sweet Sensation greatest hits. I have all their singles.

This project will be cool for those who didn't hear yet their hits, for the others who followed this group since their beginning, I'm sure most of them don't care about this Greatest Hits...

Why is it so impossible for Betty and/or the rest of sweet sensation (maybe even 2 new girls or even other ex members from girl groups) to do a couple of new tracks, when we all know money talks. As long as they receive a nice sum for their hard work, they might be interested. Also the thought of getting back into the studio & rekindle some good memories may appeal.

How about Betty with the 2 ladies from the Cover girls?

I also have just about everything on Sweet Sensation since their beginning, vinyl, casettes, CD's, videos, promo pics, autographed memorabillia, rare interviews, etc, etc.

I just think it will be a good Idea, & YES I think having "rare" versions, or remixes on the compilation may be very appealing.
(I know I like it!).

Besides, after making this post/thread, I immediately sent the concept of this "SS" compilation idea to a record label.

Let's see what happens......

I hope it wont be "EMPIRE MUZIC WORKS".

People are ripping that label apart from KTU about the terrible job done on JUDY TORRES GREATEST HITS.
