I think the G2 is something only in Ontario since licenses are a provincial thing every province must have dif names and requirements

anyway if you dont know, a liscence g-1 lets you drive only with an experienced driver beside you. g-2 is obtained at least 8 months after the g-1 and lets you drive alone but not on expressways. full "g" is obtained after a "highway test" and gives you full driving privileges (including driving with a blood alcohol content of over 0% 😉)

When I was 16, I just had to get my 365 (written test only) and then do the road test to get my (full) license. The rules changed just shortly after I got my license so I didn't have to endure all this G1, G2 crap.
