This song is stuck in my head after a conversation with a co-worker that asked me who sang it.
It goes something like this

Summer in the street, always sounds so sweet, you'll be here with me, the way it used to be.

Hey wassup I read your post and I think I have that song "summer in the street" If i'm correct it's a woman named Carrie Lucas and I have it on Freestyle's Greatest hits box set 1-4 its on the 4th cd. I'm pretty sure that's it. 😉 :blah 😛

Those lyrics sure are the ones from the VERSION
I've heard back in '88 w/the group MENUDO? On their
'Sons Of Rock' album.

They used to play that video over & over on Nickelodeon,
& I believe they performed it on the Mickey Mouse Club,
Kidz Inc, U Can't Do That on TV.,etc..
