maybe the way to go is.... as peeps upload their songs they get added to an m3u playlist, which can be updated daily or as often as needed. One button is linked to the m3u so that it can be opened in users winamp. Then they have the option of streaming the whole playlist or jumping to songs they like, instead of downloading each song. It can be set up as Clubfreestyle Radio. :idea

no they'd be stored on CF's server. The m3u would just be a playlist containing each song url. I think this would work pretty smoothly, cause there would be no downloading, just streaming. Lemme know if I can help!!! 🙂
 
shoutcast is a product of winamp it allows any one to broadcast and it is easy to set up i run one and it is 24/7 so far i have 600 traxs 150 remixes 150 dance tracks and 150 freestyle the rest is filled in with jazz some rock and started adding other interesting stuff
 
ahh that's cool.... but I was talking about a station on CF with the specific songs uploaded to the vault.
 
ok big problem with that jackG would have to add it him self and he is not always around the way this forum will work once all the bugs have been fixed will get the music to the fans faster

yah I guess Jack would have to initially set it up, but then someone like me or you Ed could handle updating the playlist.

true Ed, but I think once it's set up so it's easy for artists to upload songs & easy for users to listen then the jamz will come!!! :listen

My suggestion would to actually have music playing once you log on to CF.com, that way Freestyle wouldn't get mixed up with those other freestyler fans! 😉
 
i recall about 2 years ago "Safire's "Let Me Be The One" played when u logged in..... that's cool to a certain extent..... then it got boring..... I was just suggesting a button that you could press that would exist at the top of every page, that would stream a playlist of CF members songs uploaded here... it just makes sense to me, and I don't think it would be hard to set up...... 🙂
 
I want to upload a song that is extremely hard to find. It's dreamboy/dreamgirl Instrumental Mix. It can be used for Karaoke!

In order to lure more heads into this section there has to be a healthy content of freestyle music. I think that moderators should make the decision which freestyle songs should be uploaded. Rare freestyle songs are almost "impossible" to find. What a better way than to have a member upload it...or at least work out a way for peeps to get it. I have a bunch of out of print 1989 freestyle that many fans would love to own but they have no idea where to get, nor there is no place to get it. Maybe something invented like "Exclusive Sundays" in which a rare tune is uploaded for the masses. I be more than happy to help because I own like 90 cds many are out of print heck all lol
