Lol, but I mean I never took her music too serious. But now I am actually kind of appreciating her as a singer (hey, I was surprised too lol). But I mean she had to have balls to take a chance and do an album like the last one she released right? Yeah you got "Jenny From the Block" and "All I Have" which definitely were made for radio, pep rallies and slumber parties across the nation. lol But she had some pretty decent stuff on there too. And just think, it only took her 4 albums to get it right! lol Nah but if this her new direction, I think she could turn out to establish herself as a real artist afterall.

From what I hear, it can mean an entertainer that gains the appeal to many kids in the inner city. Let's take Allen Iverson for example; many think Iverson had Cred because kids in the inner city feel they can relate to AI because he grew up in heavy ghetto hardships. Fat Joe to many has street cred because, he reconize the inviornment he grew up in living in Bronx or Brooklyn.
