story behind members of Sweet Sensation??

I would like to know 2 things,
#1.
What was the story behind original member Mari being replaced by Sheila?
& #2.
Why towards the end of Sweet Sensation were Margie & Sheila replaced by 3 NEW members? (making them a quartet).
& Who were they?

I remember seeing "SS" perform wih Sheila & Margie, & then again with the new members, which by the way, one of them looked like Margie.

Anyone know???
 
as i remember, the group was not replaced with a quartet... when shelia and margie, left the group they were replaced with two other girls that would replaced them...the girls made apparences with betty, until she stop...I owuld have to say that either of the girls did not look lilke margie.....as for mari , not sure why she was replaced with sheila...
 
I knew the whole story at one time.

but me being from new york, I dont know anything about it. :rolleyes

I used to speak with the groups guitarist and he told me it was a very ugly break up. it got bad towards the end.
 
I remember being FRONT & CENTER at a concert waaaaay back in the early 90's & Betty introduced them as the "New" Sweet Sensation.
& with including Betty D, there were FOUR girls up there.
& One of them (in my opinion) looked kinda-like Margie, but with lighter skin & different hair.

& I remember they performed a few songs, including "Bring It Back".
 
They were 3 new girls after Shelia and Margie left the group. There names were Belle, Maya and Jenay. Betty D. remained lead singer. I saw them live back in 92. I got an autograph and pictures with them. They were very beautiful. I think when I saw them again in 93 Belle had left the group.

Yeah, that's the lineup I saw in '90 or '91 -- no pics 🙁 but I got the CD I took with me signed by all four 😀

Hey! Company B I would love to show you my Sweet Sensation pics but to make the story short I had an EX who could not face the fact that we broke up and destroyed a decade of stuff I had collected. I had hundred of pictures of artists like Sweet Sensation, Cover Girls, Sa-Fire, Laisse Faire, Expose, Stevie B, Company
B. Seduction, Brenda K Starr, India, TKA, Johnny O, Raiana Paige, C-bank, Judy Torres, Lisette Melendez, Denise Lopez and girl the list goes on and on. Autographed records, pictures, towels, t-shirt. Literally, 1000''s of Freestyle artifacts gone in one night. I had DRAMA. Needless to say he could have destroyed all that stuff and believe me he tore my world apart by doing that. But, I realized he could not take there music away or the memories I have in heart.

A freind of mine was in your situation with Janet Jackson stuff, & when da boyfriend started pulling his stunt, me & my cuzin arrived in time, & boy got beat down!🙂

Well, I almost did go to jail. Well, at the time, it seemed he ruined my world. But, rage took over and I thought I would ruin his world. So, I poured sugar and pissed in his most prized posetion. HIS CAR, a 2000 Mustang. At the time it was only 5 months old 2000 mile. I cut up his leather seats. Tore out his system and cut up his wires all under his dashboard. Got a hammer and F@#ked up his rims. Even got a couple credit cards under his name. I still feel I lost more than he did.

P.S. Hopefully, his not a member of CF. LOL I just signed my own warrant paper. :yeey Nah! J/K he don't even like Freestyle. THAT SHOULD OF BEEN A BIG RED FLAG!!!LOL
 
I love that group never seen them proform because i was to young back then *Video Music Box Dayz* saw they videos... Had Great dreams of Betty *LOL* well Wasn't the 2 girls cousins in the group... The last time i saw Betty was at Club Exist looked way diffrent.... I wish They make music like they make music it was diffrent compare to other Freestyle produciton back in the dayz
