Here is something to consider... Does it matter what religion StevieB is? Would we love his music any less? Would we somehow want to erase all the great performances and songs he has given us? Better yet would we on a personal level throw away any emotion or memories we have when we here a StevieB song or see him perform? If StevieB was Catholic would we say, "hmmm.. I wonder if Stevie likes little boys?" I hope not!!!!

Everyone of us can be labeled or identified with a group, whether it be sexual, ethnis, religous whatever! I'm tired of people hating on someone because they are a this or a that! StevieB "IS" freestyle music as much as he "IS" whatever he believes. We are here to support the freestyly right?

To StevieB I say thank you for the songs and the memories! I look forward to whatever you do in the future and I wish you the best.

Maybe one day we can sign this from the "WORLD" freestyle communtiy!

Stevie B.

Do you know what Stevie B.'s nationality or ethnic background is? He is like the Godfather of Freestyle, yet, not much is known about this legendary artist.

Thanks. :idea

I wanna know when that interview about him will be available for us to read and when a new cd will be out!

ook... i always thought he was Spanish... But then one day me and a fellow Freestyle fan had and arguement and he said that he was Black.... He swore his friend was Stevie's cousin and that he has a pic wit him..

being that im a muslim-american, i definitely support ANTI-terrorism an what stevie said was very tru. Events dont make a religion bad, the people make the religion bad. People who perform acts of terrorism that come from any religion, shouldnt claim religion at all. I kno for a fact that what happened on 9/11 has nothing to do with the Islamic faith whatsoever. well i just wrote this to say that stevie's a great artist and im just glad that his opinions are as good as his music. God Bless

Lebanese, that was a great post! While I may have reacted on impulse earlier in this thread, it's my belief that this topic was created to stir up controversy against Stevie B more so than to have an intellectual discussion. It was nice to see Stevie B himself come onto here and set the record straight!

Well RUMMY. I did not post it to cause problems, if I had then I would have bashed him and his faith and I didn't. I just wanted to know his opinion on the subject. And truly never got an answer. My original question was what does the thing about what is going on now in Iraq and the Muslem people there. I said nothing about terrorism!!!

Hmm, maybe. he does look kinda polynesian.

I'm tired of ignorant Americans associating Iraq with terrorism. Sure, Saddam was an EVIL dictator who terrorized his own people and was a danger to the surrounding nations. But there has so far not been a single shred of evidence linking him directly with 9/11 or Al Qaeda. In fact Al Qaeda was a sworn enemy of Saddam.

As for terrorists, they are responding in a desperate way to what they feel is an invalid breach of their nation's sovereignty by the existence of Israel and the U.S. forces in the middle east. This is reinforced by their deep fundamentalist beliefs. These are sick people, but it is the plight of their people that has often led them to behave in this manner (the palestinians). On the other hand, some of the terrorists (The 9/11 hijackers for instance) were sick, psychotic people who came from rich backgrounds and simply fell in with fundamentalist "jihad" leaders.

If you want to parallel this with Christianity, you could consider the Jerry Falwell followers who bomb abortion clinics and do other similar crazy things. They don't terrorize other nations, though, because the U.S. is already on top 🙂.

Oh My ..............go Back And Read My Original Post. I Said Nothing About Terrorism. I Only Asked How He Felt About The Muslim People In Iraq And What Was Going On In That Country.

this whole thread is very interesting .. and yes that was stevie who posted on here .. know that for a positive fact .. great questions and discussion people !!

ok dont laugh, but i always though he was cuban..lived in miami, the whole south beach thing lol..i have his healing cd and started to read inserts and found out he was muslim...all i though was,"oh wow, did not know this"...it just shows how freestyle is really universal...I love his music, i could care less if hes muslim or catholic, the guy kicks ass..so there are my 2 cents on this thread..It was nice of him to respond for some artists wont. The truth is that he didn't have to. anyways take care.
