I am freaking out right now! I missed the boat (I left early because I had tix for the Yankee game) and just got home an hour ago!

My best friend was on the boat and suffered a broken leg..

I have to go to Staten Island University Hospital to see her I am sooooooooooooo upset :sosad

I can't believe 14 people died.. My Nonna (God rest her soul) was watching out for me yet again!

Anyone from NYC that rides the ferry - I hope all are safe and sound
 
I know crazy stuff huh? U've been blessed.
There were a cpl peeps missing limbs.....I think it's 10 dead but a cpl of peeps were counted twice......
 
They just did a news bulletin here a lil while ago...the operator of the ferry tried to commit suicide tonight cuz of what happened this morning.

i hope that any cfer thats from staten island wasnt on that boat or their love ones cuz this was very bad for us new yorkers :sosad give thanks to god and count ur blessings that for those that were about to go that boat didnt get to get on
 
Truly sad...breaks my heart. 🙁 May they rest in peace. I used to take the ferry every morning going to work years ago.

Worst day to see this and hear of this awful news.

Its so sad that these people were just commuting home from a day of work and lost their lives. And the people that survived had to live through unncecessary fear.

They don't know if the wind was a factor..there is also talk about driving error...and they said that the driver is in the hospital but cuz of his condition he aint much help...I heard about this yesterday afternoon...really sad how tragedies like still happen 🙁
 
i bet he fell asleep and after it crashed, he felt so guilty, he tried to committ suicide.

I just went past the dudes house....... nothin goin on and no one to be found there, cept there were police barracades all around.... quite creepy......

My friend is cool. She has a cute blue cast, but unfortunately it goes all the way up..

She busted her ass (and bones in her leg) when some big fat man swung his brief case as everyone was getting up and got her in the leg and she fell and got stepped on :angered


She's out of work for a while but in great spirits..

Now on the news they are saying the pilot was passed out and the captain was below deck..
