Yo, Kay, you right, though I am not Latino, I am Persian.....

Many people, not just latino think that its "gay" to be a freestyle fan!

During my Middle School and H.S. days, the other guys and girls made fun of me for listening to freestyle.....but I didnt give a shit....I played it louder.

Hip Hop is great, you can bob your head in your ride, and shake it up at the clubs......But the difference with Freestyle is that the music gets in through your skin and into your blood and touches your heart...Hip-Hop doesnt do that....actually no other genre of music can do that....and thats what makes is so special to me and I know I speak for many others.

Freestyle is spiritual and healing for me, and at most times its motivating, encouraging and very very entertaining.....and awesome to dance to.

Yo, Kay, you've been an inspiration to me from when I was a 12 year old boy until this day......

And another thing, Hip Hop is fabricated, rapping about bitches, guns, escalades, and gang violence......even though these rappers live is 20 mil dollar homes and live in the quietest neighborhoods around, lol.

Freestyle is Real is every way. And thats Why It will never Die in my mind, When Im 90 years old, Im still gonna rock the Legends, ya heard....

Holla

well, in my search for "retired freestyle fans" ive ran into the same, repetitive answers:

1. its too "80's" (meaning "very outdated")

2. the theme is the same (LOVE, LOVE & more LOVE)

Of course, not all latinos even know what "freestyle" is.

lets not forget the ITALIAN/ARGENTINIAN freestyle fans.

Lets not forget any ETHNIC group...😉 😎

damn

Damn,
who really cares about the ethnic groups....Freestyle and Music as a whole is supposed to unite races and genders....
Ive been to freestyle concerts, I see the crowd, and let me tell you I see Blacks, whites, irish, latino, Asian, Italian, Arabic, and even a few guys with Yamakas on their heads, lol.......Jeez, But I dont blame the artists for the demise of the genre, Its mostly the MArketing and Promoting of the artists that keeps freestyle down....... In a way I think that freestyle like on KTU in NY is targeting the music for the latin community, freestyle is for all.

and your comment about Love, Love and more love:
Thats is in no way responsible for the tumble of freestyle.
Look at R&B music, thats all love music and has been consistent for over 40 years.

Thats my opinion

peace

I always represent Freestyle wherever I'm at. But, it's getting old. I think I've said this many times before- to all you Freestyle artist out there and still performing- get some new material. I'm not going to any show's 'cuz I always wind up hearing the same shit. How do you expect to progress in this industry if your singing what you were singing back in 1986. Yeah, sing the classics but damn......

what happened when TKA came out with new stuff or Johnny or even Safire, they got tore up from the floor up🙁 , so either way it doesn't mater whether they come out with new stuff or sing the old, the bottom line is there is no support.

am i like the only one who thinks the forever album is an excellent record...lol ...joint was hot, not freestyle but hot!!!
